What is needed.

With all the mumbo jumbo about the computer giving increadable resuts and hugh list of stocks to pick from, I think what is needed is an old fashion seat of the pants forum.
As such I will put my neck on the line and start a trend about an area where I have been somewhat lucky over the last little bit.
Look for a new trend on the subject, "Its the Oil, stupid"

This board is now 4 months old and we have 590 members. In an effort to give the people what they want, I need to know what it is that you like about this board and what it is that you don't like about this board.

Also, I am interested in what you think of the analysis I provide in my stock picks. Would you like to see more fundamental analysis, more technical analysis? Do you like my sense of humor or do you think I'm a juvenile idiot.

I like your sense of humor -- keep it coming. And I like your explanation of why you choose to invest in a particular issue.

I have encouraged many people to visit both of your sites and to read for themselves.

I have suggested that they do not invest any of their money, but rather just follow along on paper: "BUY" using an average of the bid-ask at the financial site of their choosing, add a round trip commission, multiply by 1.16, and "SELL" when the interday price equals or exceeds this number.

To my knowledge, none of the people has even lifted a finger to do some study and research. I am amazed.

I look at the technical side before making a move. I am sometimes wrong and sometimes correct. I would love to see some technical analysis along with the fundamental stuff.

I have been on the board for a couple months and enjoy it very much. I like the free flow of ideas (pro and con) and I like the humor and sports and music references (although I am a huge Rush fan, but Bruce is ok).

I really like the fundamental analysis and information from MM and the other posters. Sharing ideas and experiences, and lessons learned. It's not easy to make money so it's good to have a forum to talk about everything in one place (fundies, technicals, experiences, humor, sports, etc..)

For changes, I like to see even more fundamental analysis and information to keep everyone informed and up to date on the stocks discussed.

Keep up the good work MM...

I don't visit the board as much as I used to, but this fall I came here quite often and learned a hell of alot. Seems like my life is consumed with the market. Like I said I came here to learn, and I did. I mostly just lurked, but I poured over almost every post. I have had minimal losses and some fairly large gains, esp. with CALM... I don't think you should change a thing. If the funds are available maybe some chat rooms would be nice. I think that would bring me back more often. Again thanks again for just being here.

My opinion is that 1. Mr. Market is a genious to come up with his model.
2. Mr. Market is a saint for sharing his ideas. 3. Mr. Market is obviously a great looking hunk of a man. 4. Mr. has a sense of humor to match his stock picking skill.

Personally I think this is a nice club...I know that the basis for the club is the Mr. Market Model which I find interesting and informative. But it is nice that other philosophies such as my Technical HIT 'n RUN style are tolerated and even enjoyed by some w/o interfering with the main focus of the board.

I like to read the other posts and I know I have learned a few things here in the 2 months I have been around...Hopefully, I have helped some with my ideas too...There's more than one way to skin a cat IMO...Best to Ernie and All...IIC

I can say that my first investement was a Mr. Market pick and I have been following your lead since. I do learn quite a bit by just reading over some of these posts and examing certain stocks. I know very little about the whole investing world but I think I'm gaining more knowledge every day. I like it when stocks go up, and Mr. Market's stocks generally do just that. Thanks!!!

I am currently sitting on the sidelines of this forum because I am relatively new at trading (trust me, you don't want my advice). I am learning a lot from reading everyone's posts and trying their different methods. The forum is informative and instructive and the humor is refreshing.

Ernie, it would be helpful to all if you would describe your due diligence on the 5 finalist stocks. Something like "I rejected this stock because..."

I agree with a couple of comments made concerning a member's 'chat room'. I think it would be a great plus- to be able to swap charting and trade ideas... 'live' during the day.
