I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. (for once I'm actually glad to be holding TBT, being that it's the top of the charts this month!)
... and I guess even a blindsquirrel knows that you can't lose with AAPL.
billie I had a "Crapsman" Snow blower , and it seemed that during every use something broke. Linkage fell apart , choke lever broke ...in summary worst P.O.S I ever had. Bought a small 5HP 22" 4 Cycle Gas Honda .......BEST SNOW BLOWER I EVER HAD ! Fantastic! 1 Pull One Always Starts,
Phoenix, Similar things happened to me with riding mower, rototiller, eyeglasses. I went through 5 rototillers then bought a 2 1/2 horse Honda. That was around 20 years ago. It still starts first pull. The screw job on the glasses , $700, was the final blow. They tried to sign me up for a monthly program at $9 per to ship me cleaning cloths. The night time glare option came off immediately. They said I didn't know how to properly wash the lenses. I'm getting mad just thinking about it. When I took back the broken riding mower after maybe 20 hours use they opened the repair corral and there were probably 25 crapman mowers identical to mine. After several more breakdowns I put it out at the road and was thrilled to get $200 for it. Less than 2 years old. Can't exactly remember but it cost around $1200 new.
You may take part. Please read #8 in this thread or see below for the rules. Thanks
PoTY 2015 Rules
Letรขโฌโขs keep it simple.
You have until the end of January to make a pick- starting price will be the closing price, (per Yahoo, unless it's shown that the Yahoo price is incorrect) the last trading day of January. Any stock trading on the NASDAQ, AMEX or NYSE is fair game, long or short.
We welcome IPOs if picked by the end of January and starting price will be the closing price of the IPO.
Picks submitted after January are welcome, but comes with a 20% penalty of the closing price.
Perhaps I should start. In any case, like last year, I will offer to concede to simplify the bookkeeping.
In a related matter my pick, Dryships (DRYS), has just announced a plan to sell all their ships. This is not a joke. It's not clear how the company plans to make money with no ships but whereas they have been losing money with the ships perhaps it will turn out to be an improvement.
