I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Fun Sears facts: Sears catalogs started in 1888 mostly selling watches. Roebuck sold his 50% interest for $20,000 Sears died in 1914 having never stepped in a Sears store since they didn't open stores until 1925. Roebuck lived until 1948 outliving 3 of Sears' 4 children. Sears built Sears Tower, at one time the world's tallest building, between 1969 and 1973. By the time it was completed, Sears empire was going downhill.
If our friends are OK with your suggestion I am OK with it. Let’s hear what everyone have to say. If we do not hear anything we could assume it is OK. Thanks

Old folks in my family can remember a Sears-Roebuck store on Washington Hill in Salem Ma. Across the street remains the huge clock which adorned a contemporary bank (possibly a re-furbished version). The bank is now home to Ledger's restaurant. Google "michelle boland pastry chef" to see pics of one of my gym rat buddies who makes gingerbread houses and homemade donuts for sale Sunday mornings at Ledgers. Anyway, the advent of shopping centers (The Northshore Mall in this case) killed off the old Sears-Roebuck location. I've been told that at 8:45PM Thursday nights one could see legions of women exiting the Mall to make it home for the weekly 9PM broadcast of Peyton Place.
Of course in my time The Northshore Mall is being made obsolete by Amazon, et al.
on Sears' (OTCPK:SHLDQ) survival. The last shot is reportedly a $4.6B proposal put forward by its chairman, Eddie Lampert, to buy the 125-year-old icon out of bankruptcy through his hedge fund, ESL Investments. Lampert, though, hasn't submitted a bid or come up with financing as of Thursday afternoon as he stares down a deadline today at 4:00 p.m. ET.
Well, so much for a long block chain. Shoulda woulda coulda shorted RIOT like Vixtt. Congrats to the top 4! And thank you so much JH for taking the time from your busy life to volunteer to do this!
Could have beat the market this year by investing in ca$h! A crappy year for sure. I don't know about the rest of you guys but I have this feeling that the market is still likely to have a largish downward correction with the right catalyst. I don't think we've seen the worst of it. However, I do think that the overall economy is currently strong and is moving in the right direction.
Congratulation to Billyjoe for winning the Pick of The Year 2018 with SHLDQ for a huge gain of 89.49 percent.
Vixt takes second place with RIOT for another huge gain of 89.02 percent.
Jiesen takes third place with GBYC also with a huge gain of 74.53 percent.
Mrmarket is the only long in the green with a 33.33 percent gain for GLGI.
Happy New Year and Thank you everyone for playing this year.
Yeah hooray for shorts this year! (and ow, my balls! on going long...)
Amazing that even with Sears' final trading day this year being up 60% that the SHLDQ short still managed to take the prize! WTG Billyjoe and Vixtt! and nice picking, $$MM, who manages to find the only long pick to make money here.
Good show, and thanks for putting it on, JH! Mayhaps we'll see longs rule the contest again next year...
