Smokey Bear still has commercials on television?

Yup. In fact he still has his own Zip Code, 20252, which is in Washington, DC. Interesting to look up the demographics of that Zip Code. 0 white people, 0 blacks, 0 Hispanics, etc. Average income of $0.

        also interesting:

Smokey’s original catchphrase was "Smokey Says – Care Will Prevent 9 out of 10 Forest Fires." In 1947, it became "Remember... Only YOU Can Prevent Forest Fires." In 2001, it was again updated to its current version of "Only You Can Prevent Wildfires" in response to a massive outbreak of wildfires in natural areas other than forests and to clarify that Smokey is promoting the prevention of unwanted and unplanned outdoor fires versus prescribed fires.

That was from his website at:
The longest-running PSA in U.S. History: Smokey Bear and his iconic catchphrase: Only You Can Prevent Wildfires.

So... new millennium, new slogan, I suppose.

Here's hoping Smokey meets a nice girl bear to help him enjoy his declining years.

OK you ringers. Here’s a little tougher one.

What literary work inspired the Beatles’ song “Tomorrow Never Knows?”

Interesting. I don't know the answer but the idea that the song was inspired by a work of literature supports the idea (methinks) that the song is about meditation and not drugs.

This one is right up my tiedyed alley!

"Turn off your mind, relax, float downstream" was taken from LSD explorer Timothy Leary, whom along with a few other fellow 'travelers' wrote The Psychedelic Experience.
John Lennon got his hands on the book along with some LSD and the Beatles Revolver Album is just the start of the Beatles psychedelic experiences.

Well, I have to give you credit for that although the answer I was looking for was “The Tibetan Book of the Dead.” Turns out that the full name of “The Psychedelic Experience” is “The Psychedelic Experience: A Manual Based on The Tibetan Book of the Dead.” So both answers are correct. Man, I can’t get one by you guys. Tiedyed, for your correct answer you have won a 5 minute supply of Sharpie ink, which you must scrape off your certificate when it arrives.

As a hobby I collect original psychedelic concert posters from the 60's; that and doing Grateful Dead tours since the 70's provided me a counterculture education that made your question second nature to me.

The certificate ink should be on blotter paper and I will just eat it...lol.

OK, I think this may be a tough one:

Who/what inspired the Rolling Stones' tongue logo?

(the winner receives Mick Jagger's old heart valve after he gets the new one this month)

Oops. It WAS Voyager I was remembering, NOT Pioneer. It took a while to identify its radio signal. It was something like "VeeGee…".

it was called 'V-ger', because the name had worn off somewhat from the side of the probe.

I think it’s fair to say that nobody is going to get the used heart valve.

Nobody got Alice Blue Gown either. Except Riverbabe but that was kind of a gift.
