PotY Contest Standings As of Market Close, April 1, 2022

Good news. Every pick is generating more than a 100% return and beating all three of the major indices!!

… Come on, now … April Fools!

Nope the market is still a little iffy, but it’s not all bad. We have four picks in the green and beating the major indices. Louetta’s GBTC is doing very well and is in first place by a comfortable margin. Jiesen’s QDEL and Minni17’s OGN are neck-in-neck for 2nd and 3rd place with my DOCN a little father back, but still green. Let’s see if this market has some legs in the coming weeks.

It was a little bit of a rough week again, but five of our picks managed to stay in the green, and four of them are still beating all three of the major indices. Louetta’s GBTC went counter trend and had a very good week, vaulting back into first place. Minni17’s OGN continues to look like a strong pick and now sits in second place. Vixtt’s SFT follows up in third place with Jiesen’s QDEL in hot pursuit. Here’s to a good new week.

Wow, yet another one on the chin this week as the market took another beating. It’s early, but this year’s contest is shaping up to be another brutal one on the heels of 2021’s poor performance. At least we have one decent performer in Minni17’s OGN. Ahhh, what can I say but hope springs eternal.

As always, thoughts and prayers for the people of the Ukraine whose troubles are far greater than a poorly performing market.

Yikes! Thank goodness for a late bounce because the market sure got clobbered earlier in the week as the crisis in the Ukraine reached a boiling point. My hearts and prayers go out to the poor people caught in the middle. As for the PotY contest, we had another shakeup at the top although Minni17’s OGN still looks pretty strong and remains in first place by a comfortable margin. Unbelievably, there are still three other green positions in the mix (my very own DOCN, Jiesen’s QDEL, and Louetta’s GBTC), all of which are clustered closely behind the leader. Oh well, something tells me this is going to be a volatile year. Better fasten your seat belts.

Yeah no kidding! Only 3 weeks in and already down 3% across the board. If this keeps up, the market would be down >50% by the year end....

Hopefully nobody gets hurt over in the Ukraine. That is probably the biggest question looming for stock trader's peace of mind... and for everyone else's as well.

The year is long and many things can happen. They got downgraded a little, but I personally think it’s still a good pick. Besides, I think that there’s a high risk that a lot of our picks are going to get beaten down pretty badly if the Ukraine crisis doesn’t resolve peacefully.
