  • Mr. Market Influence

Here is a question for all the people that follow Mr. Markets picks.

Do you think the strength of this website can influence the price of a stock? Especially a stock with avg volume of 100K.

I would almost want to ask Mr. Market himself how many shares he buys (or amount of money he invests when he picks a stock). But since I have not spotted him when he is bench press 400 lbs., I won't.

I ask because HZO was up $1.50 today (i think), then Mr. market tells everyone that he is out. I am pretty sure most people that bought because of him will (have) sold as well. HZO ends up closing down .17.

Think it is related to mr.markets actions or just people taking some nice profits?

I usually buy $5K of a stock. It is 20% of my portfolio. Me selling wouldn't do much. But if we have whales on this forum, that will make difference.

    Just wondering what people think.

LOL....I really doubt it. Even if they do...I always let everyone know my sell price when I make my purchase, so that is fully disclosed well in advance of when I actually sell.

I'd hate to think that the experts need to resort to looking at my biceps in order to make their stock selections. But as long as they're female, I don't mind.

I think you don't grasp the size of the Stock Market

For the past three months, HZO's avg daily volume was 101,428.3 with an average closing price of 24.6765, so on an average day in the last three months there was $2,502,896.27 changing hands EACH DAY, just for HZO! Millions of dollars would have to hang on Mr.Market's every word to make a noticable inpact.

I think such obviously strong stock such as the ones MM picks get noticed by lots of people outside this website every day that moves the price higher.

I dont get it why are you a banana?

your banana conversation has me rolling on the floor in laughter.

It caught me off guard. I was reading your posts about the hUGE ones influence and did not even notice that you are a banana.

I totally missed it until jesloc25 asked you.,

              WSBK

When Ernie sold off from WSBK I decided to hold on until he posted his next pick. That is the day that don't be a DICK for a TICK came full circle and boy did I get burned. Again, there was a sell off, after he sold, so I decieded to hold and wait till it reached 15% again. In such I missed his next pick, that gave me a double burn. So that is when I made up my mind not to be a DICK for a TICK. Sell when Ernie sells. If the market follows that is because everyone is following Grateness, and they don't want to fall into the DICK CLASS. ===> MEA
