CMN (looks like a sine wave now on a down leg)
FORD (cruising toward the mid to low 7's, probably bouncing from there)
MANC (only if there isn't a repeat of today's nasty sell off and it finds support in the high 9's)
This market's starting to get nasty. Should listen to you bears
I'm going to give this swing trading a go.
Ya, uptrending stock list would be good. Nice idea. What kind of parameters are you thinking? Weekly or daily chart? Time frame? Trend indicators? etc... When you're all set, maybe a dedicated thread and someone monitoring the list for channel hits and fib retracements? I'd be a reader!

I'm bearish on it. The channel from the bottom was steep and got broken on Thursday. I think 5.53 will be tested, and will fail. Then look for the potential for that downdraft to become an inverted head, then the formation of another shoulder or W bottom. It's going to get worse before it gets better is what I'm seeing. Anyone got an idea of where all the gaps are below current prices?

SIM, look for a weekly channel long around 4.65 currently. APLX nice weekly channel long last week. The 6.82 bounce near the gap could be a good one, although I would have MUCH prefered a closer test of the gap. Be careful with this one imho, and have tight stop on any entry you take. It might want a full gap fill before getting over 9.25. The volume suggests it's a runaway, but the market is weak right now and is vulnerable.

PRFT has double top in there now, with small channel break from the 7.00 low, and now a channel short from Thursday. Clear short bias now. Look at the 3.88 low, draw a channel and look for a channel long from there, currently at 6.00ish is how I'd play it.

                        Spike,

What did I do wrong with this chart--if you are not too busy--that my take and yours are different? Thanks for the consideration. I am trying to learn the TA trade.

                          Here ya go.

While the daily is currently bearish after the double top, and small channel failure I mentioned elsewhere the other day, it's approaching that pink channel long on my daily chart. Further, I would have drawn the weekly chart this way, rather than where you chose to put your channels. Take significant lows to start your upward channels, and significant highs to draw your falling channels. Look for turn ups and turn downs, and channel breaks from those points. Where your channels are, there's no real reason to put them there. A significant low or high on the other hand, is a good reason to put them there. Get it?

So for PRFT, the pink channel long may work. If it fails, then weekly gray channel is a good long entry.

Spike just finished reading your post regarding your answer to Thomrich and It was great not only your Interpretation of one being In the stock market but your lesson on my golf game. I can not wait for our season to start If the snow ever melts. What you had to say sure fit Phil Mickelsons approach to the game. Three years ago he was playing with recklass abandonment and now he plays the game within himself and Is winning.
