Hi Spike, I'm trying out a new system for picking stocks using ADX and parabolic SAR. Wanted to get your opinion on CLHB. Had a big up day today on a good earnings report. That caused the Channel turn up, ADX crossover, and parabolic SAR buy signal.

          Spike,

Don't think we're due for a bounce here? I think the indices been down just about 6 days in a row...

                Spike,

I've been reading for two months about how the QQQQ is headed down. Now the time has come . . . .

                    Ofg

                    Spike,'

Don't know if you follow OFG but there is blood all over the floor there. Big massacre today: down below $24.

Of course a lot of things are getting creamed today. The GM news is taking down all the stocks.

it was under 24 for just a few minutes today. would have made a great entry, imo. this particular bloodbath was due to overreaction to bad DRL news, nothing that directly affects OFG's value.

                        • Greetings Spike,

As somewhat of an off topic question, I figure you would know the answer.

Have you or anyone else purchased US treasuries?Im curious as to how they are bought.
From what I can tell,Scottrade charges nothing to buy them,in $10,000.00 initial lots.

Has anyone any experience with this type of transaction?

It seems to me that anyone with a large cash balance could live off treasuries. It amazes me that multi-millionaires can go broke, when a 30 year t-bill pays 4.5%.

Mike Tyson, who has earned over 350million is broke.Had someone told him to put 100 of it in fixed income t-bills,he would be living off 4.5 million a year for life. Not sure it works that way exactly, but from what I can tell, large foreign investors favor that type of investment. There must be some merit to it.

Any input from anyone would be appreciated.

                          cordially Tom

I have an account with the Treasury Dept. for buying and selling these instruments. It's not as complicated as you think and you can buy them in varying denominations. Go to this site to request an application to open an account and they will also send you their investor kit booklet which will explain everything you need to know about the process. www.treasurydirect.com. You can purchase the bills in denominations and multiples of $1000 up to $1000000 maximums. The notes in denominations and multiples of $1000 up to $5000000 maximums. No need to deal with your broker when it is so much easier to maintain an account with the government. (Treasury Dept.)

Oh wow - THE - green light from me. Right now has a C entry going. MEA - look at it and memorize it

TDW has an uglier C entry going, with an expanding channel long recently. Might be good, but stop under 38.17.

OFG: No, I took it off the radar. Ouch. Headed for 21.80 channel.
Yep, GM in trouble. Huge weekly rising significant channel bust. And a huge lower channel bearish bust from the 55.55 top. That is extra bad bearish.
