    Thomrich

    Tomrich,

Did you see what happened in Canada today? Some wild boar came a ripsnortin' through the Cans and knocked 'em all down today. Do you have any idea what the deal is?

I am 100% cash now. Should have bailed a few days ago. Left $500 on the table by my hesitation . . . . OUCH!

Sure. I'm talking about e-mini futures that are very high volume and particularly volatility trading vehicles that have captured the trading imaginations of many a daytrader since their introduction. They've certainly captured mine

ES refers to the CME E-mini S&P 500 futures that are small but powerful contracts for the individual investor. CME E-mini S&P 500 futures contracts are based on the same leading CME S&P 500 index as the most actively traded stock index contract in the world – CME S&P 500 futures – but are a fraction of the size. The E-mini enables you to participate in and profit from the benchmark index tracked by pension and mutual funds around the country.
        see http://www.cme.com/trading/prd/overview_ES702.html

NQ refers to the E-mini version of the NASDAQ-100 futures. More info here http://www.cme.com/trading/prd/overview_NQ705.html

YM refers to the mini-sized Dow futures contract ($5 min. price fluctuation per tick) more info here http://www.cbot.com/cbot/pub/cont_de...+14425,00.html

These trading issues can be beasts and if you don't trade with stops, then these will make you modify your thinking

Well dude, on the daily it closed with a flat channel....tried to turn up but couldn't close that way. There's the SHS on the 15 min chart with an unmet target. I'd caution you about taking it long just yet. If it closes with a channel turn up, then take the pivot the next day. Right now, there is an ominous potential for more down. Remember, it's a triple top until it isn't. Taking it long up here is madness when I think about it hehe

          • Greetings ,
Thanks for taking the time to explain,I assume it must be to an advantage to trade those instead of the QQQQ or an ETF?

Would you mind sharing how much time a day you spend with the markets?I have my laptop at work, and peek from time to time at my interests, would love to do it full time if I could earn a living.

I hope to be able to bring as much help and info as you someday, thanks for all your input.

            gratefully Tom

              Greetings,

Yeah they took a whipping, and I think more is on the way.
Ive been taking advantage of some good dips lately,I hope to maximize their potential in the future.

Approx. 3 weeks ago PBT tanked to 10.75,I grabbed some at 10.92,its now over 13.Watch this one,as its on Mcdeps list as a buy the last time I looked.BR is selling 25million units of it so many buying opps will be coming up.
Sell range is mid 13s,so watch for a dip into the 10s soon.

PTF is channeling between high 13s and 15,Im looking to get that one again soon.

EENC is on Spikes bull list, and Ill buy any share in the 20s.

I figure if I can at least double the distribution amount, its worth trading, instead of holding.

              cordially Tom

              • DJO and KND

                Spike,

WHere do you see a good entry point for DJO and KND. I have a buy limit order for DJO at 25.80, but am not sure if it could pull back to it. KND keeps building its right side of the base, I couldn't determine a good entry point.

                Thanks.

BTW Is anyone getting the "not found" error screens when replying?

Forgive me for not posting a chart, but I came across CNTY from a friend, looked on a 6 mo. chart, and it appears to have just come off a long channel entry, and also a 68% fib. bounce.Anyone think it looks good? They came out with nice numbers and are supposed to get a gaming liscense tomorrow.

                      cordially Tom

CNTY: I like the 'look' of the weekly channel long 3 weeks ago but the daily is giving mixed channel signals. Also could be a large bear flag on the daily. I like others I think.

Yep. Have to close the browser and redo. Lost a couple replies.

Weekly channel turn up for DJO. That's a great place for a limit buy too I think; wait for it to come back for your ambush maybe raise it up with the channel each day. Patience is key for it. If it pulls back but fails to tag your order, and you still want to chase it, wait for a fresh and healthy looking channel turn up to buy the pivot the next day. Holler when you enter, cuz I might forget!

KND: yaoyao, see the weekly channel long 4 weeks back; that was the right time. It may give you a handle to buy, but you may have missed the boat.

                              • Greetings Spike,

I may be short sighted, but it has come to my attention that the COO of FBR has just purchased 500k in stock at the mid 12 level.

A peek at a 6 mo chart looks like an inverted SHS on the daily about ready to complete.Insider puchases of that size warrant at least a look.Any thoughts?I have no idea what FBR does now, possibly mortgage backed securities?

BTW I post these not to pump, but to bring attention to possible movers. My only current holding is LEXR.

                                cordially Tom
