Divy June 3
Spike,
You may--may--want to give a little thought to FDG. The reason: splits 3:1 June 3, and divy is supposed to be equivalent to $12-15 per undivided share. That may put some "channel long" action to work. Or it may not, depending on how bloody the market is at the time.
I am looking for a 9800-9900 Dow here fairly soon. Of course, "I could be wrong."
If we have a channel long from Aug, 2004, it might be really, really interesting. Mr. Greed tells me that FDG should run up to the split and divy, and he is encouraging me to find an entry. . . . .

Greetings,'
Regarding EENC,the 50dma has been a great buy opportunity. With the likely prospect of another distribution increase coming next month,I feel 23+ is in the cards.
EENC is a pure crude play, and as long as futures rise above 48 its going up IMO.
Channels are hard to play on these canroys,as the ex-date selloff presents a great buying opp. but apparent channel tip.If it drops to the 18 level,Ill double up for sure.
cordially Tom

[QUOTE=spikefader]Hey noshady!
Many stocks react poorly to good news. It may be because the rumor existed that there was going to be good news, ............
Hey Spike
Thanks for the input and the chart and all. Yea, I know about the buy on the rumor thing but thought this one wasn't a very good candidate for "sell on the news" because I really didn't see any recent run up, nothing out of it's usual pattern anyway. oh well... Good company though, I think I'll stay parked for a bit with my scaled down position and watch for that triangle to break.
Thanks again."Whatever you can do or dream you can , begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it." Goethe

The oil price will recover. What is happening--in my ten cent opinion--is that the speculators are anticipating a recession in the US and Canadian economies. This means that demand for energy will slacken, the price will pullback and their panic has hammered the Cans. This also means that energy has topped out and is headed downward for awhile. Oil may pull all the way back to $40. (One bomb could change everything). The Cans are all profitable at $38+, and the lower exchange rate helps every Can be more profitable.
Meanwhile, collect the divys and relax.

Any comments on the action of JMDT?
I am wondering if JMDT is getting a bit out of hand right now? The RSI looks to be very overbought (75+), and it looks to me like it's a buy, but not before it re-vists the 25.50's area. So, perhaps it a short here, around 28.50's?

Hiya folks.
Well I see the QQQQ c long entry on the weekly is getting bought. What a week for the Qs! I really should have taken that over EFA. Oh well, at least I'm still holding EFA long.
Oh, and I neglected to change my avatar Wed close (Vector turned bullish), and have been absent from around here the past couple days. But I've enjoyed not posting lately. I think I'll stay 'on vacation' for a while still
I see EENC is acting OK for those holding. Would have prefered a yellow channel long (see prev chart) but draw a channel from the top and she came pretty close to profit-takin' territory for shorts, and has reacted well to that near-touch of the lower channel. The test will be the channel short coming up.....
For now, I'm full bull again for Monday. Good luck all.

Spike,
Was wondering what happenned to you the last couple of days. Missed your dialogue. Sometimes it's good to air out from the repetition of all the things you do on a regular daily basis. I just about bit my knuckle off containing myself after reading Cashmaker's post about your take on things on the other thread.Last edited by skiracer; 05-21-2005, 08:57 AM.THE SKIRACER'S EDGE: MAKE THE EDGE IN YOUR FAVOR
