I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Dammit Spike,
You just scared the crap out of me and the wife. I'll never open one of your links again , so there ! We turned up the volume and got real close to the screen so as not to miss the subliminal message.

lol oh no..... lol I gotcha good then. hehe
A thousand apologies to you and Mrs. billyjoe. That was a pretty sneaky mean trick. I still remember the first time I saw that thing; I'd just woken up and had a cup of coffee in my hands...the sound up loud....aaaaaaahhhhhhhh....... lol I just about needed one of these machines!
I promise I'll not post another scary link like that again ! I don't wanna be responsible for any heart attacks on the older members on this forum!

And at what age do you consider "Older"???
"Trade What Is Happening...Not What You Think Is Gonna Happen"
You're forgiven ,Spike, as soon as you pay for my angioplasty. But seriously with the SCOTC port , I think it's highly likely that one stock won't be stopped out for a long time. What do you do then ? Keep tightening the stop until it goes? If the bull really gets going Mr.Mkt. could be piling up the dumps while you're still back on the Vet's Day Dump. A pleasant dilema , that final stock could be a retirement fund by itself.
OK, the first SCOTC system filtering/leveraging occurred today with stop outs for BCSI -4% and AGN -4% (no slippage as per intraday charts) and I sold GEAC (the imposter) opened bidding 10.80 that's +1.2%.
That leaves 3 positions to add to the leaders. I missed the pivot entry for SYNC so I'll bid the pivot for it. And I'll bid S1 for DJO. And 90.80 price support for AET.
I just realized CHRWD ticker was changed to CHRW and I've modified that ticker. It's currently -2.8% from entry.

billyjoe + mrs billyjoe
lol
How long do you consider long? Is 4 to 12 weeks long? Cuz I think that's probably going to be the average time. I may be wrong, but a Superstar's chart is likely going to get parabolic price action, and the beauty PSAR trend is it's a parabolic trailing stop. Look and some charts and you'll know what I mean. For volatile movers like TASR the stop will tighten up quickly the more parabolic it gets. And for less volatile ones you may get a longer ride, but I seriously doubt the ride would last for more than 3 months, especially if it were a strong bull market and stocks were making parabolic moves.
But even if you did face that pleasant dilemma and you wanted to take the next SCOTC dump ride, you could just take profits and move on. Or allocate new funds to the next one and ride it out. Allocation is an entirely different question for this system. How much would one risk for one of these system play? Well considering that you're leveraging the winner and systematically reducing diversification in the port, you are opening up the port to more risk as the weak ones are eliminated. Yes, the maximum planned stop for the system is always max of -4% but what if there's a big gap down on news and you take a 10 or 20% hit? For that reason you have to weigh up the risk against the potential rewards in calculating allocation size.
Spike,
Thanks for the answer. None of my cheap stocks , 7 remaining, have been stopped out yet today.
My daughter just told me she needed 10 stocks for a school contest , so after having her watch your link , I gave her 10 of your SCOTC picks and the good thing is she can change them from time to time. She's out the door now so I'll have to pry the details from her later. If she does good your fame will spread throughout northern Ohio , if not , I never heard of a "spikefader".
billyjoe
p.s. if a SCOTC pick lasts 12 weeks it truly will be a monster and would remain in future Mr.Mkt. dumps even if he does one per week
Yep, and any SCOTC Superstar that is in the next dump would then be re-filtered and for it to qualify again it would have to jump through the momo hoops as defined by the filtering I apply.
That's one of the cool things about taking the strong ones only and eliminating them as they weaken, you're squeezing every last drop of those potential superstars that MM's model uncovers.
Spike,
Just did a quick google on "spikefader" and came up with the Mr.Mkt. connection , IIC's Mr.Breakout , and Andy Skinner's "Ramp" pattern recognition scanner , head and shoulders trading on the Austria stock exchange , what's that or would you rather not talk about it ? It's raining all day here and I have too much time on my hands.
