I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Great chart work on FLIR. You might have saved a lot of hides from a real tanning.
Now--if you've the time and interest--what about the runner ups: ARLP, down $3.07 today! And BDK, down $1.96 today. Bounce candidates? BDK looks to me to have run its course. I don't think they are going to meet there projected EPS for next quarter or next year. ARLP, on the other hand, has this potential: the ultilities are going to be running their coal fired plants wide open to avoid having to generate electricity with natural gas and oil. The big negative with ARLP is that it has no institutional support, and on any down day a stock without institutional support really suffers. What do you think? Are either one of these worth a look?
Thanks for the option work and the chart work! Best of investing to you always,
Spike

Yup, the chart speaks for itself and screams wait to me, but the market will do what she wants to do. :P But it won't hurt to wait to buy at suppport.

Yup ARLP is definately a go tomorrow - as usual enter on a pattern or intraday S1/S2. Nice channel day today, with some expansion, but that's probably just because it's so steep, but caution with longs nonetheless. Stops under today's low is best.
Dear beard of Zues. Take a look at the NVDA after hours. Anyways SPikey, do me a favour and take a look at TK for me, seems to be setting up nicely for a long position.

NVDA As low at 10.25 I see. I can see it getting down to 10.00 during regular hours tomorrow and filling the gap for sure. And that would make a significant long-term channel break, so caution for anyone long. Despite 10 being near support, and the chance for a dead cat bounce, now would be a good time to at least consider the option of an emergency hedge with Put/s for any open positions.
SMH short intraday pattern:
Well, today was the day. SHS pattern is the first intraday pattern for SMH since my stop out. Also coincided with hitting R1 (resistence point 1).
With NVDA tumbling tonight, it could drag SMH lower. Would have been nice to be watching SMH today for an entry. Grrr.
Spike, if you owned (a shitload) of AHC stock and wanted to liquidate some, for diversification purposes, where would you be selling (based on technicals)? I've been looking to pull the trigger on some and can't seem to time it right, so I've been sitting on it.
Muchos Gracias.

Perfect place was channel resistence 3 weeks ago. It is now a prime short candidate! If it were me, and it were a bucketload, I'd take my money and run today or tomorrow on the next test of intraday resistence or intraday pattern:
Weekly:
Daily chart:
On an intraday basis, here are some ideas on where to sell it:
Looks like a few traders got slaughtered! The best part is, I took your advice and followed the chart. Sure I missed a few extra points, but I did make a profit and I didn't lose my - - - like some others did today.
Yep, the chart rules. I'm convinced! A good long entry should be coming!

I still have money and I'm happy!
I hope the rest of y'all did ok today.
Have a great weekend!
Ouch for holders. Glad you're out Webs. Never underestimate the power of gaps in price, and holes in volume by price.
I would look for a long at the light grey and light blue channels - almost got there today. We will see whether it gives an opportunity next week for an entry. Should those channels fail, then I would be confident of a gap fill pretty quickly.
there was definitely a large amount of overconfidence in DHB. A lot of people took a hard hit.
I'm going to sit it out Monday and see what happens. A gap fill to $9.50 would be most excellent! I believe DHB may hit $20 by the end of the year and a buy at $9.50 would make for quite a profit.
