    What is GOOG looking like?

    Hi Spike!

Been away for a little while... and now I come back and see that GOOG is "feeling" a little topsy. It seems it has practically closed the gap at near 406 now, so should it start heading lower?

Looks a bit overdone to the upside for my taste and thinking of a short.

Your (& others) comments are always appreciated!

      Hi mystiky!

Yeah, was lookin' at GOOG today. Didn't the Chinese Govt (ministry of info or sumfin) buy a bunch of GOOG shares the other day? What's the FA significance of that one?

TA wise I see it in an impulsive 3 up, so caution shorts.

That recent low of 331.55 was a test of the 'c' on the weekly. It passed the test and while 331.55 holds, my bias is bull.

I'm expecting 489.00. P&F has 520 target after the triple top breakout just today. I'd not be shorting that one just yet. In fact, I'd be pushing patient stalkers to stalk long.

I'm planning on doing a cheap call play with GOOG and I'll post it in the option thread if I do.

      Good luck though!

        • Greetings Spike,

You are a gentleman and a scholar, your post on bracket orders has been the best advice I ever had.As I cant watch the market all day, setting these when my indicators hit a buy or sell signal has been great.Im happy with 30 point swings, even if its only 1 contract for now.Ive noticed my margin acct is full every day, daytraders dream?

BTW I asked Runner, and would like your thoughts,NENG hasn't broke 3.25 but it is holding steady, bull or bear?Im in the ''could break either way'' camp for now. Also ENT did fall below 12 where you targeted support, great call,as it was paying over 18% distribution at that level.Bulls jumped in today, could be a short setting up.

Great Tom; glad to help out Also glad you're enjoying IB's platform over anything else you've tried. Congrats on success with the YM too.

For anyone who hasn't seen my post on bracket orders for IB, check it out here: http://ymfutures.blogspot.com/2006/0...et-orders.html

And anyone else interested in demoing IB to see what's so great about it, you can download the full TWS platform (that a demo account will run on) from here: http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en...structions.php

Once it's installed and you get to the login box

you can log into a full demo account with
              User Name "edemo"
              Password "demouser"

Once you're in, you can play around with configuration and orders and brackets etc. as much as you like and see why direct access broker like IB is a quantum leap from retail brokers in both quality of platform and price of commission. Shoo, anyone would think I work for IB lol

NENG is real nice potential. It's doing the 'c' down now....just a matter of whether it needs below 'a' or not, which a good handle will call for that kind of wedge drop...

I'm thinkin wise to support the lower pink wedge line with 1% risk plays until you nail it for the perfect 'c'. I think once it does a weekly close over 3.20 I'll feel better about its longterm prospects. I'll add it to my watchlist and holler if I see sumfin worthwhile.

Ah yes, ENT did drop nicely. hehe

              Best to ya.

FIZ - about to fizzle a bit?

                        Hi Spike!

Cramer pumped FIZ a few days ago, so it's still running on his "mention".

How is the chart looking? I am thinking of going long at some point, but it really seems out of hand right now. Is it possible we see around $13.50 on a dip? I really dont feel comfortable about chasing it.

Anyone else with their comments are welcome to express them.

                        Thanks!

Hey mystiky! Well the FIZ had lots of bubble left in it; to the tune of 39% or so huh! Yowza.

Looks like the air may deflate..... hope you nailed some of that move!

It actually sets up short now, but I see it's not shortable and there are no options for it. Oh well.......

OK folks. I'm taking a vacation from this thread for a while. I'll still be a very active poster in other threads at this forum, which is something I've wanted to do more of; go and annoy the local senior members hehe

So if it's OK with yall, if you would like TA opinion or charts, click over to the Blog. Thanks dudes.

                            • Greetings,

Since this thread has been dormant for a while,I thought I'd throw this out to see what anyone with some chart skills might think.

I don't know what to make of the compression on the upward slope, but it appears at the upper trend line, and a retreat may be in order.Any input would appreciated.

                              cordially Tom

Hey Tom.... I don't claim to have great chart skills.... but I think a retreat is in order. And my trades Friday reflected that.

btw. I REALLY miss this thread....
