Indeed, the win/loss ratio should be inverted. But the curve remains nice even then!

Speaking of profitable equity curves.....Karel, you should do one for your Mechanical Fund. That thing is rocking!

After two months another report on the Following $$$Mr.Market$$$ portfolio. There were no changes, the road was bumpy (percentage changes over two months):

          IWM: 25489 (-3.5%)
          SPY: 23036 (-0.6%)
          FMM: 22647 (-3.1%)
          QQQQ: 21898 (-4.7%)

Our FMM portfolio gained on the leader and widened the gap with number last, so these two months were not bad at all. The annualized return dropped to 4.0%. Reculez pour mieux sauteur, and things like that.

The individual stock results look like this:
40 winners (including open positions), average 14.4%
10 losers (including open positions), average -33.7%
          50 total positions, average 4.7%

Exciting developments in the Folllowing $$$Mr.Market$$$ portfolio (FMM)! MM has sold a position not in the portfolio, so this means that the portfolio will get an extra position! But that was already in July; what happened in June?

            IWM: 25223 (-1.0%)
            SPY: 22869 (-0.7%)
            FMM: 22676 (+0.1%)
            QQQQ: 21577 (-1.5%)

The FMM actually gained this month! The index portfolios all lost. That is not bad, but the annualized return dropped to 3.9%. 1/10th of a percent isn't enough, obviously. The trades, including open trades, look like this:

41 winners (including open positions), average 14.0%
9 losers (including open positions), average -37.1%
            50 total positions, average 4.8%

            Regards,

In July, $$$Mr. Market$$$ sold a position not yet in the Folllowing $$$Mr. Market$$$ portfolio (FMM) and added AXR. That means the index portfolios also got a "position" extra. (I am filling the index portfolios as the FMM portfolio gets filled, otherwise the indexes would have got too much of a head start.) The standings on the close of July were:

              IWM: 24733 (-1.9%)
              SPY: 23077 (+0.9%)
              FMM: 22105 (-2.5%)
              QQQQ: 20805 (-3.6%)

This was not a good month. The total annualized return dropped to +3.0%. The trades, including open trades, look like this:

41 winners (including open positions), average 14.3%
10 losers (including open positions), average -37.1%
              51 total positions, average 4.2%

August was not a good month. The benchmark index portfolios all gained 2% or more, and the Following $$$Mr.Market$$$ portfolio dropped -0.2%. The ranking:

                IWM: 25389 (+2.7%)
                SPY: 23524 (+1.9%)
                FMM: 22060 (-0.2%)
                QQQQ: 21661 (+4.1%)

The portfolio is looking a bit stale, sad to say. Time to shake things up a bit?

                Regards,
