    Vectorvest???

    Has anyone tried vectorvest.com?

I've been checking a few stocks through them and they seem to cover every angle. I'm thinking of trying a $9.95 one month trial. If anyone has already tried it or any other sites out, let me know.

    Thanks,

    The King won't be happy!
vectorvest.com has this to say about ELN:
    "Analysis Summary
ELN is overvalued compared to its Price of $21.88 per share .... "

Thats why I'm going to try the trial out. I've been impressed by their thorough analysis of stocks. I also have a good friend who suscribes and told me that he has done well with a lot of their picks.

I'll try the one month trial and let you guys know how it went. I'm sure they're a fine company, but they could never be as huge as $$$Mr Market$$$.

Alright, I have signed up for a 5 week trial of Vectorvest. We will now see how good it really is.

I probably won't buy any of their picks until I get a better feel for the service. Also I'm waiting for earnings season to get over with.
They have many different recommendations for different investing styles, so it'll take a few days for me to sort it all out.

they do, however, list the top overall rated Vectorvest picks, so here are the top 5 from that list ...
            1. DDN
            2. WWW
            3. HURC
            4. ONYX
            5. ALDN

Here are a couple more that popped up on a few of their other lists ...
            1. GRA
            2. JUPM
            3. WITS
I like these 3 a lot. I've been watching JUPM and WITS for a while anyways. I actually bought and sold WITS for a profit a few months back. Too bad I didn't hold it longer...

Is Vectorvest any good??? We shall soon see.

Websman, I sold DDN today. It was so good I chickened out. Check out the chart the right side is almost straight up. I track everything on paper. Last 6 weeks : 14.02,15.10,16.19,1749,18.39,19.41,and today 20.85. If this is another TASR, I'll shoot myself, still it's a nice fast profit, but how much is left?

It looks your being chicken paid off.

DDN closed at 29.45, down $2.65...ouch. It's a good thing you sold.

I see no real bad news to cause the price to drop like it did, other than it's filling the gap.

Vectorvest shows that DDN is undervalued and the actual value is $29.45.

I'm not willing to take the chance, but there could be a bounce back up tomorrow.

                The Vectorvest trial period continues...

DDN was dropped from the Vectorvest top 5 list.

                  Here's the new list ...
                  1. HURC
                  2. ALDN
                  3. URBN
                  4. ELOS
                  5. ONYX

Let's see how long these stay on the top 5

Looks like its pretty expensive, but if it works then its worth it. Now I'm really interested in how it does for you Websman.

It is very expensive, but $9.95 for the trial is not a bad deal. I may not buy any of their picks but I'll keep an eye on them and see how they do. I'll keep you guys updated on the Vectorvest, top 5 list.

The list is the same today. They still recommend caution on going long. I agree.

I received my Vectorvest software today and just got it installed. I was impressed with the package, which included a tutorial CD, installation CD, quick start guide and 3 informational books. I won't have much time until this weekend to take a closer look. Even if the trial period turns out to suck, I can't complain about everything I've gotten for $9.95.

                        Here's the updated Vectorvest list:
                        1. ALDN
                        2. SGTL
                        3. WWW
                        4. URBN
                        5. HURC

The daily analysis of the market looks encouraging. Here's what they had to say:

"Tech stocks soared today while Blue Chips lagged behind. With two green lights and an UpUp situation, it's OK for Prudent Investors to go bottom-fishing and bargain hunting. Aggressive Investors and Traders should play the market up or down as it develops with a bias to the upside. For those of you who are "Riding the Wave," we will go long tomorrow with one of the following strategies if the market continues to rally"

I went bottom fishing, through their searches and came up with these canidates:
                        1. VOD
                        2. ORCL
                        3. AHPI
                        4. PER

Who knows how these picks will do. I haven't bought any of them, instead I bought my own pick, DHB. DHB is rated as being undervalued, having below average safety, and is rated a hold. So, I went against the Vectorvest recommendation. At least it's undervalued...
Does that mean I will lose on this trade? It will be interesting to see who does better on their picks, Vectorvest or me. If the Vectorvest picks outperfrom my pick, I'll be more confident in their picks.

I will post my verdict in 5 weeks...

                          Oh...by the way.

I'm also impressed by all the different ways you can find stocks on Vectorvest. They use many different styles, including chart analysis, fundamentals, agressive, conservative, etc...

It's an easy way to find stocks to suit your trading style and it's not just a site that picks stocks for you. Is that worth $59 bucks a month? It may be...

Here's my latest take on Vectorvest... It seems to be a great tool for finding stocks based on your own criteria, but I'm still not sure if it's worth $59 for the basic service.

If I did subscribe, I would probably drop my IBD subscription. I love IBD, but the - - - - - newspapers keep piling up! I wish IBD would let you subscribe to the web site only.

I also like the Vectorvest reports on stocks. But...You can get 3 free reports per day without subscribing. Their reports are very detailed and informative. As far as the daily market analysis, they're not telling me anything I don't already know.

Being I'm a part time trader, I don't see the need for such an expensive service, at this time. Besides, I have access to Mr Markets site for free!

Stay tuned, as my opinion could change before my 5 week trial period expires...
