  • Suggestions for something good to buy?

I'm curious if anyone has anything that they think is good to enter right now. I have a few bucks to invest after selling TIVO and since I don't have any real system yet, I'm curious what others would suggest.

If I'm out of line for asking this or am sucking the list dry from asking for too much information or suggestions, please let me know. Besides my SIRI suggestion, I know I have been taking from the list and not giving. As soon as I figure out what I'm doing and why, I'm happy to share the info.

    Thanks,
    Alison

I should really like to stress, with my above post you MUST do your homework on these stocks. I just rounded them up quickly w/o even doing homework myself (not that you should trust my research abilities too far anyways)

Different objectives and different stratiges may mean the above stocks are all wrong for you. Then again, they may be just plain wrong.

Would you say at this point PARL is near its fair value and too late to enter?

I'd say its still undervalued, but with it's recent run up it may need to cool a bit first, then again, three straight days of +2% might be its cooling period

Check out PRFT. I posted about buying this a while back on the Stenzrob's Specials thread, and continue to post about it - revenue and earnings have doubled in the last year, by a very healthy combination of organic growth and smart accretive and valuation-lowering acquisitions. Check a few of my posts on the Yahoo PRFT board for details. I posted a link there to an interview with the CEO that talks a bit about their acquisition strategy. They are profitable, with nearly zero debt, and yet until a few days ago, was selling for a PE less than the earnings growth rate and price/sales less than 2.0. As of today, it made the top ten in MSN MoneyCentrals Momentum screen, because the share price has started to accelerate with increasing volume. It has high percentage of insider ownership and is just beginning to be discovered by institutions. My positions are already up 45 to 55% at price of $6.15, but I quite seriously expect it to at least double from here. I am still searching for the gotcha' here, but have not found it yet.

After the run this week from $4.50 to $6, will it pull back for a better entry? Maybe.

DOC has a breakout potential w/ good technics, but its got some gaps to fill.

Now you want to talk Smack. Her is a Smack Happy Pick. Ended the day up 13.90% and making me a little pleased. Looks like there must might be a winner in the making here. In at $2.58 at the first of this week. Have not really made a plan with this one, I think we will just let it go and see where it ends up. Yo Stenz P/S is 0.81 on this one. I think I starting to get the hang of this stock picking. Ouccccchhhhhhh that is what I shall say on Monday when I look back at this bold of a statement. ===> M.E.A.

                      Scifo's Shortlist

                      The new short list

                      Returning Stocks:
EVLO +22% since buy rec on Dec-2
WLGC +17% since buy rec on Dec-2

                      Deletions:
SMXC +1.83 since buy rec open Dec-2, now closed.

                      Additions:
DDD rec buy open on 12-6
DOC rec buy open on 12-6

Please note, this is just one of my watchlists. These are all low priced stocks that are VERY VOlITILE, meaing that those +22 and +17% gains could be negatives next time.
                      Buy Low
                      Sell High

By all means, although I just was trying to answer the question in the thread title.
