Here is a pretty easy method of investing using the SAR indicator. I normally will use this as a trail stop indicator, but it can also be used to enter into a position. This method will allow a larger wiggle space between entry and stop. You can obtain some info on it here http://stockcharts.com/education/Ind...ic_ParaSAR.htm
Notice the chart that explains using SAR for entry

Can the SAR be used as a signal for entry and exit? Sure it can. This site here is great, but it would be even better if more investors or traders reveal some techniques they use to profit from the market. We all know Mr. Market wants strong earnings and growth, We all know Spike uses channel long/shorts, but what do you use?

Having looked over the indices I think I'm going to park it on the sidelines for a while. Things are not making much sense to me. Today the VIX put in a low that has not been matched since 1995. So taking on long positions to me is not the prudent thing for me to do. I do think we are in a day traders market now. All good things must come to a end, but when is the million $ question. Only open position right now is MDF. I don't think my target on this will be hit, but I'll keep an eye on it.
