I pay 24.00 round trip, this is outrageous. I start a new position sitting in the hole. I can see where direct access is the way to go. Most of my positions only last a few days up to 4 weeks. I’m going to call your broker tomorrow.

Thank you Spike for this information.

Looks as if SYMC got a little bounce off S-2

It appears that several of my double bottom stocks have bounced off key support areas. I’m going to track some of these this week to check results.

          Anyway, good trade.
          Greetings,
actually this was the 3rd time in a month Ive traded DHB,originalll 15.90 to 18.90,bought more at 19.10 and sold that lot at 20.50,then this last trade.
Ill buy again if she gets to the 16s as Im learning patience from Spike.

BTW Im the biggest bonehead here,as I trade through Citibank, where I do my regular banking.24.00 per trade.I need to change brokers quick.

Although the 24 would apply up to 10000 shares,so if your buying cheap stuff it might be worth it.

          cordially Tom

Yes A 50 retrace off of novembers dip would be 16.
Its touched that recently, and bounced, would you consider that a decent buy?

Ive been doing alot of reading lately on sucessful stock trading, and its got me fearful of entries,as I realize the zerosum game.

Any good reads on an developing an edge,as I dont have one.

              Greetings Runner,
              Any comment on ZICA?
My employer has owned it since its dotcom days of 40ish,now pushing mid 5s from low of sub 2.

He doubled down at 2.00 and now makes 1600.00 off of every .10 swing up.As you can see he's having a nice Xmas.

It looks to me like a 8.00 is the next point of retrace, any thoughts?as I'd like to make a buck on the way.

              cordially Tom

Tom I rarely buy breakouts. ZICA does look pretty good and thanks for bringing it up. Nice volume the past few days. I would consider a pullback buy around 3.89. Not sure about a retrace around 8.00, I see ZICA sitting at 5.30. I personally would not chase it from this point.

I prefer to buy pullbacks to key support areas this works even better when the support is a lower channel and a fib retrace. I’m trying to learn the waves as this may give one a map as to where the stock is sitting and possibly where it may be going. Another edge is what we pay for commissions. If I can get in at a lower cost this simply means more leverage on my behalf. I believe one huge edge is to have patience and the lack of this has cost me dearly in the past.

Tom- if you bot ZICA yesterday then looks as if your wish will come true at the open. I seen ZICA cross the screen over 1.00.

These stocks have at least 3 inside days. Often this set up provides a good swing trade.

This kind of set up is played a little differently. One might look for an entry .10-.20 above yesterdays high with stop under yesterdays low. When playing this set up I normally sit out the first 30 minutes.

                    • Many times you'll see a triangle pattern form within the inside days. This example shows a symmetrical triangle. This suggest a pop up or down may be coming. Also notice the volume drying up

                      • This chart of CKMC shows some examples of the inside days. Notice the 3-day pattern. Look over different charts and see if you can pick out this pattern. If the 3rd day price drifts to high or low I’ve noticed this will cause a false signal. I like to see the 3rd day being drawn in toward the center of the other 2. This may also allow one a low risk entry. The volatility of this 3-day pattern is low followed by high. Sometimes you will get stopped out because we all know nothing is for certain in the markets, but I think this pattern may prove to need more study.

Thanks for the lessons Runner. I'll have to keep an eye out for these patterns.
