I asked Gemini to tell me what my MSTR trade last week came out to, on an annualized basis. Here's what it said:

    MicroStrategy (MSTR) Trade Analysis
Your MSTR trade achieved an absolute gain of 11.5% in just a single day. On an annualized basis, this performance is statistically staggering due to the extremely short timeframe:
    • Simple Annualized Gain (APR): 4,199.1%
    • Compound Annualized Gain (CAGR): 1.82 quadrillion %
Like I said, too volatile for my stomach to handle. Even Gemini thinks it's a staggering number.

Will 2026 be the year of the Labubu? Or the year of the crying horse?

Still happy making a 4% return on the cash sitting idle right now, but here's something I thought I would share today, a gamble I decided was just too good to pass up this time.

    Pop Mart!

Yes, that's right, you've heard of the craze these kids are all into now, with the Labubu crap they won't stop talking about! Well, the company that makes those is Pop Mart, and is a $50B+ monster churning out viral beanie babies of the 21st century nonstop and making bank. How can you buy a piece of this action? Easy! Close your eyes, hold your nose and buy Chinese ADR's in Pop Mart with this ticker: PMRTY

I got in with a sizeable buy yesterday at $40 and change, will sell it this year for a 25-50% profit at least. Might hang on to some long term, if it goes high enough to get out with all my money back.

If you buy it and it goes down though, don't blame me, as I'm just the messenger here... PMRTY is a huge gamble, but one I can't pass up, knowing what I know about how addicted kids are to this crap right now. If you know, you know, and you're going in on this with me! Good luck with whatever you do, and I wish for HUGE returns for you all!
They are selling all kinds of knock off Labubu on street corners in New York City

If you use Snapchat, you know... this company has a very sticky platform, and will be around for awhile.
    Soooo...

I chickened out today, and sold SNAP for 10.2 (still made out with about a 2% profit tho). I am going to put that money into an I-Bond instead, and pocket at least 4.8% interest over the next 6 months on it. That's a safe bet, and SNAP, although tempting, isn't so safe. I still figure it's due for an $11 price sometime soon, but seeing it drop to 9.5 first, with my cash in it made me question my choices there... SNAP is cool, but do I really want my money riding on this new-fangled tech? Why, when I can make a safe return of 9.62% annualized backed by Uncle Sam? Well, now you know why I am a chicken in this market.

Yeah, there are lots of tech stocks on sale right now... and Block is solid, too. Next week will be a good time to do more bargain hunting, so I'm going to take a look around and see what else is out there.

Probably just as well, as the market seems rather frothy to me right now... everything seems to be at all time highs, and it wouldn't surprise me if it all tanked in the next year or 3. FB, too! But the fact that this stock is now trading at a market cap of around $400 Billion on under $4B of earnings says volumes about how far things are ready to fall, once the house of cards starts to crumble.

When we're back to Dow 10k again, or thereabouts, and everyone thinks stocks are the very worst things you can buy... that's when we should be looking again for some old-timer stocks to pick up, I think.

Indeed. These graying boomers and gen-x'rs will need more than just catheters to keep on keepin on. What else will be in demand when our population is mostly over 65? How about hearing aids or skin cancer detectors and lasers?

Jiesen, After 2 1/2 yrs. it's time to take over the world again. There are 8,000 Americans turning 65 each day. This trend will continue for 17 more years. Catheters paid off. Let's figure out what's next.
