  • I sold DHB about 20% too late, unlike others who waited WAY too long. I can't believe one guy had the gall to blame another poster for his loss.

As far as finding the next winner, I'd like to see if the markets can cooperate

You are not a bagholder. All you did was learn a valuable lesson.
The guy who balmed the other poster was the bagholder.

It's hard to believe that someone would blame someone else for their loss. That's what seperates the winners from the losers. Losers blame someone else for their losses. winners use those losses to learn how to win the next time.

It's all about attitude. If you think you can or can't you are right.

I agree that the markets aren't really cooperating. It'll get there in time.

        Yes!!!
        I'm back!

It took a whole week, but I have finally gotten rid of the pesky spyware that invaded my computer!

I found a great antivirus company that guarantees to get rid of any virus or your money back. "Stop Sign" is the name of the company. I highly recommend them. They worked with me until they got it out.
They actually had a technician take control of my PC, remotely. He went through everything, while I watched. They were very helpful.

Unless you're a computer genious like Spike, I would get hooked up with these guys. They may save your computer...

Here's a link for a free scan. Check it out. you won't be sorry.

Anti-virus and internet security from StopSign™ keeps your PC free from viruses, spyware, root kits, and more.

        Now...What to trade.
        Any suggestions for longs???

Looks like KCS bounced off its support. I'll watch to see what it does tomorrow.

DOW down 198...Man it feels good to be in cash!

Although I haven't made anything yet this year, I'm happy to report that I am still holding gains from last year. I think patience is the key word in this market.

I think I'll sit back and watch the action for a while. The market will eventually find a bottom. I wouldn't be suprised if the DOW went down to the 8000 range.

I think I'll go count my money now...

                      "Markets Up on Pope Pick"

This was a Motley Fool headline today...It's looks to me like a desperate attempt to sustain the market. I wonder if the new Pope has any money in the markets? Maybe a position in IPIX or SIRI?
Will the Pope start a new Bull market like the 90's? Inquiring minds and souls want to know.

I don't have much Pope...uh I mean hope, that the market is ready to run yet. Of course I could be wrong. Maybe the Pope could ring the morning bell sometime. That could really make for a big day.

It would be nice to get a nice rally going here but it all depends on the earnings...I think Intel reports at the bell so we'll see what happens...it should set the tone for tomorrow.

I don't think it has anything to do with the markets.

Another week in cash. I think now is the time to be patient. Sit back and watch everyone lose money. Go fishing...drink a beer...enjoy!

I still like the long term prospect of SIRI, but I do believe it can eventually be bought in the $4 range again. I'll wait and see.

For now I'm concentrating on some other investment opportunities.
I've been looking for some good real estate investments. Anyone have any tips? Property in my area has gone out of site, so I don't have much hope of finding aything decent around here.
I have considered the Gatlinburg Tennessee area. Land appears to still be fairly affordable there, and it would be a good place to build a few cabins. I actually enjoy construction work as long as it doesn't involve framing or roofing. I replaced the roof on my house, but It wasn't much fun. Next time I'll contract it out.

                                Construction

                                Webs,

Gatlinburg, TN is a beautiful place. But I was just thinking that it might be a long commute for a Southern Alabama boy like yourself to build a few houses in TN . . . .

You've made too much money in the markets if you can say "I like construction, except for roofing and framing." A few more big hits in the market and you'll be too lazy to cross the street for a Coke. You'll pay someone to go get one for you. Or else you'll go back to using the ole Star Trek teleporter.

Seriously, why don't you stop holding cash and buy some Cans and make some money? Four months in cash is too long. Drop me a line and I'll give you a few Cans and buy points to direct you into some monthly income.
