I averaged down on SIRI last year and did great with it, but it's still risky.

      Risk vs Reward

I've been "burned" by averaging down but I've also done quite well doing so. The question becomes one of risk vs reward. Does the possible reward outweigh the risk involved? I think the answer lies in the strength of the reasoning implied when you take this risk. If it is based upon sound reasoning, the chances of success are much better than if it is an emotional reaction.

Good point. At the time I was knew that there was a very storng chance that SIRI was going to climb. It was on the brink of being discovered.

It's amazing to me that some of the folks on the IBD board still think that Mr Market and I are the same person. I've never even met Mr Market. I don't have 19" biceps and 74 consecutive profitable trades, but I wish I did.

Mr Market...Could it be that I am not a full blooded Vulcan? Are you my father???

Update on my present positions... 9/12/05

            1. ELN - Bought at $6.88. Closing price today was $8.87

            2. PDC - Bought at $14.25. Closing price today was $16.50

            3. AOB - Bought at $4.15. Closing price today was $5.15

ELN is getting beat down before the big run up. It's going to look like a hopeless situation and then BAM!!! She's going to fly!

AOB couldn't have climbed at a better time. This more than makes up for my dumb mistake on Friday.

PDC is going to be a big winner for me. I just have to make sure not to sell it too soon. I've picked some great ones lately, but I didn't let them run far enough. I'm not going to let that happen again.

                Bummer...

I keep looking for RSSYF to drop back, but it just keeps climbing. I refuse to chase it.

Update on my present positions... 9/13/05

                  1. ELN - Bought at $6.88. Closing price today was $8.70

                  2. PDC - Bought at $14.25. Closing price today was $16.30

                  3. AOB - Bought at $4.15. Closing price today was $5.65

AOB is not looking too bad.

ELN has had 3 straight down days. I'm looking for one more down day, before it recovers.

RSSYF is still climbing under high volume. Too fast too soon? Or...maybe somebody knows something. Inquiring Vulcan minds want to know.

AOB needs to p/b and consolidate before the next run IMO

And here's the pullback...down .55, but there is no need for concern. It's going to be a fun ride. Care to hop on board IIC?

Yea boys!!! Go ahead and knock ELN down a notch or two. One more down day and I may just add some more shares!

So far, I'm up over 18% on PDC.

AOB corrected some today, but it's still looking good.

Watchlist.... ACW, WEX, EZEN.OB, RSSYF.OB, CNXS, VPHM

I may add some more PDC tomorrow if it pulls back far enough.

                          Still entry points for these?

What do the Pros say? Is there still time to enter AOB & ELN.

I would prefer that AOB bounces at the 4.50 support level...But chances are that I will miss it...Doug(IIC)

Al Sharpton is on CNBC. I must state my opinion of him. He's an idiot...a fool... a racist...a moron...and a total dips--t.
