I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Not for anything but I've often wondered if you liked a stock enough to use it in the game why anyone wouldn't take at least a small position in it. Most of the ones that I pick I own at some point during the game or week. Not all of them always but like this week I owned full positions in all three of my selections. Just curious. That's great that you are probably the first 3 time winner. It wouldn't have taken much at 3.69 to have owned at least 1000 share position in the stock. Anyway great pick and it made for an exciting finish to the week. First I thought you had it in your pocket then BABY came roaring back above 10.20 and then gave it back at the wire. IIC must be pulling his hair out. I get a kick out of this stuff. Great game this week and basically everyone did well with their selections. Good luck. When it's exciting like this week it makes for good competition. Looking forward to next week already. Let's get them to keep the markets open 7 days a week.
Jiesen YOU ARE THE HUGE ONE Three wins thats great. I have been trying for a long time to be the first to get there. Now I'm really feeling down. Guess I'll just have to drown my sorrows. Will be out of town for the next contest but I Intend to leave a pick tonite before I leave. Going to be hard to do but hopefully I'll hit something before I'm falling to sleep. But If Jiesen wins again going to be hard to catch.
Spike we want you in there with us this week. 3 or 4 days rest should put you in peak mental and physical form. Ok the rest of you guys. Let's get it on with the picks. Same rules this week unless someone can come up with something new to add to the mix to make things more challenging an exciting. I believe Ray Long is already in with his picks. I'll start it off with my first two. Sticking with HTRN again this week. I own it and am expecting a great week out of it this week My second pick is PARL. I'm working on a third one but not convinced completely about it yet. Get em in guys. Quiet around here this weekend. I hate the inaction.
Looks a little lighter this week than normally. Come out of those caves and get your picks in anytime before the open today. As long as they are time stamped before 9:30 am you're in.
Looking for players. All you guys with the charts and picks, and there are alot of us out there, doesn't cost a thing except for the bad taste in your mouth of your selections not performing up to the expectations you put forth. Throw a couple of those great picks into the game and let's see how they stack up.

After a dismal outing last week Spikefader comes back as the only one with both of his selections in the black an is the early leader up .7% with his two picks. WTG Spike. Of course it's only Monday.
I had a real good day today with PARL which I bought Monday morning at 19.75. The reason I bought it and used it as a selection in the game was a breaking news article on Briefing.com's newswire last Friday stating something about another fragrance stock being acquired by another bigger name fragrance stock. The article went on to mention that PARL could bounce on Monday in sympathy to the other acquisition. I know the stock and have done well with it on a couple of other trades over the last 6 months or so. I took a half position, 500 shares, at 19.75 and thought that I had made a mistake when it fell through 19.50. Told myself that I would bail if it broke 19 which it didn't. It opened this morning at 20.22 on no news or anything and kept going up. I guess every dog gets a bone occassionally whether they deserve it or not. I exited the position late this afternoon at 21.85 with a 2.10 gain on the 500 shares. It could go to 25 right now an I could care less with the $1050 gain in my hand. I'm of the midnset that sometimes you have to take the luck and found money when you have it in hand. Watch it continue on to 23 or 24 without me tomorrow. Could I say that would be just my luck? I'm beginning to believe more and more that a large and growing % of traders are now playing the breaking news in their trading. That's what I love about Briefing.com and their realtime newswire. Would you say the $ 29.95 a month subscription fee paid for itself this month.
Anyway here are the standings after today.
Skiracer: up 5.3%
Spikefader: up 1%
RL: down .1%
Drutzen: down 1.7%
Grebnet: down 1.9%
