In order of finish. Seems like everyone lost some ground today except Spike. This could be Spike's week. Two days left an he's holding a decent lead. Not insurmountable but decent.

Someone is going to have to step forward and take the reins next week. I'm up to my neck is paperwork and physical work and believe it or not this takes a good hour a night to do the calculations and post it all.

        • I'm banking on CAFE not gapping down too much on Friday, and then start to climb back, to give Spike a run at the end. It all depends on what SEC says, or maybe even not, just the 3 letters scare some people. The sellers have had the stock for over 2 years, why not take a profit, what is in question is the news release.

There are only four players out of eight above even. Here are the results after today in order of finish. Spike still maintains his lead with Dru and Lyehopper a close 2nd and 3rd.

                Doug,
I'm not sure of what is going on with CAFE.
Could you explain please an are they opening up trading again on it this morning?
Anyone know for sure what is going on. That's Dru's short pick, if it opens at .25 or so he wins for sure.

But he starts at the first trade...not the last trade price before it was halted...It doesn't matter anyway...it won't be trading any time soon...if ever.

What is the penalty for that?...I think it should be severe...LOL

penality for picking a non-tradable stock

I say; if you pick a stock that CAN"T actually be traded .... you should not be immediatly disqualified .... but you SHOULD be penalized.

My sugestion is a to impost a -$1,000 penality for each "bad" stock chosen. That'll teach you to (actually) do some research before picking your short prospects .... not just listen to some negative news report by Becky Quick on MSNBC. lol ......... Now that Becky Quick... She's a right good lookin thang ain't she!? Wonder if that's her real name? hhhhmmmmmm?

To "impost" a penality is MUCH more severe than to just "impose" one....lol

Lye you're the winner this week. A two timer already. I'm sure you've done the calcs and already know that an I hope you had at least one or two of them for real. So it really doesn't matter now what the outcome of Dru's picks are. So no penalty or punishment due in this particular instance. I was thinking though that it might have been fun to stake him out from each arm and leg, in the heat of the day, and open his abdomen, baste his body with maple syrup and then place some red ants on him. That would teach him to never do that again. But then he did bring VPHM to our attention and he should be given some consideration for that. OK no maple syrup.
In order of finish, not including penalties:

just one win so far for me.... Ski....

[QUOTE=skiracer]Lye you're the winner this week. A two timer already.

Well .... Actually it's just my first win. But remember, the rules we are using right now are of my design too. hehehe.

I do own PACT and PARL (long) but the two shorts that I picked are not in my real life portfolio (I also hold GGB long). I do think the market is primmed for some sucessfull short selling right now .... So I will (most likely) be shorting something (real life) next week. My short pick last week (DSTI) also slid nicely this week.
