I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. PS...Whaddya mean my pix are known for gapping up???
Thanks Everybody...
Dang, I feel like Joe Namath and Super Bowl III...I was very humiliated by ending up in the cellar last week...OK...Can I go for a Two-Peat??? We'll see.
I didn't actually buy any of my pix...but overall, I had my best week this year on the short term account and WITS was good...even though I was surprised at the reaction to the EPS...I thought it would be flat or maybe even temporarily retreat.
Today I traded APCC late for an OK gain...but this morning I traded MCRS which I just happened to see on my CwH list at the open. Went in on the p/b when it started moving again off of 36.50. Trimmed off and just kept watching it. Trimmed again for a real nice gain. Then I had to go shower. Just before I was ready to leave I set a fairly wide stop. Before I shut down it had a shakeout and I was stopped .17 below my price....Look at a 5 min chart and you can easily see when I got stopped. It came back later...but overall it was a nice one.
Billy Joe chtr was a bad dart throw It was qsii that should have made It for me. Good luck to all next week guess the fed will be the kink In are picks.
At least I am partially like you, I didn't own any of my picks from the contest. So I am pretty happy about that.
I was going to pick oww for this week for a one week wonder, but no such stock, and then since I've been stinking up the place, I thought I would turn oww upside down since that is how I've been doing, to mmo, but still no such stock. HMMMM
Maybe whatever I decide on long or short, right before I post it I will change to the opposite. lol
Dmk112,
Maybe it would be a good idea to put stops in. Because my brain can't stand a lot of calculating, lets have the stops all at the same % maybe 7 or 8. Just state "use stops " and stock will automatically be frozen at that point. It will be an option. To eliminate controversy, if my quote site says the low at any time during the day hit the magic number and contestant said "use stops" it will be applied. I'll miss some of those 20 - 30 % drops, however.
In last year's March Madness stock picking tourn. Mea1956 picked all stocks with ladies names (JILL ,ANN , LIZ ,etc. ) and beat 9 other contestants. Maybe another bad week would bode well for stocks such as DONE, DOWN , CRAP, LOSE, and BAD.
