I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. The New York Stock Exchange is open from Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET and will observe the holidays below:
2005
Christmas
December 26 (observed)
2006
New Year's Day
January 2 (observed)
New Year's Day 2006
New Year's Day 2006 falls on a Sunday. The Exchange will be open for trading on Friday, December 30, 2005, and will observe the New Year's holiday on Monday, January 2, 2006.
*Washington's Birthday was first declared a federal holiday by an 1879 act of Congress. The Monday Holiday Law, enacted in 1968, shifted the date of the commemoration of Washington's Birthday from February 22 to the third Monday in February, but neither that law nor any subsequent law changed the name of the holiday from Washington's Birthday to President's Day.
Although the third Monday in February has become popularly known as President's Day, the NYSE's designation of Washington's Birthday as an Exchange holiday (Rule 51) follows the form of the federal holiday outlined above (section 6103(a) of title 5 of the United States Code).
I sold SIFY for 3%+...will watch for p/b this week for possible re-entry...IIC
You-Da-Man Doug..... That's what I like about you, you know when to pull the freakin trigger.... hard to pass up 3% in two hours ain't it dude. I'm gonna start callin' you QDD (Quick-Draw Doug).
Sorry Greb you've set the bar so high in the past that I expect about 15% outta you picks before I'll even mention them dude! LOL.... JUST KIDDING!!!! I just happened to be watching IIC's pick on my screen and saw it spike straight up when I responded earlier.
Grebnet!!!! DUDE!!!!.... you really do have a HUGE pick there don't-cha?.... Up 10% and climbing. WOW!
SKI, I like that action but this thing is right on the resistance (other side of the cup) and it will likely pullback some. Have you had good luck buying cwh's before they breakout?
DMK,
Well it looks like you got that call right. I certainly didn't have any luck with this one. I bailed today at $29.52. I just didn't like the way it was going. Started off nice but didn't have the strength to hold any intraday levels from $30 to $29.50. To me that's a sign when it steps it's way down from level to level an it hasn't had the strengh to hold any of it's highs. Small loss from $29.70 entry. Did you see something else other than the resistance at around $29.90/30 range or were you just figuring that it didn't have the strength to break through that level and hold after failing a couple of previous times? Would be interested to know what prompted your feelings.

Mainly the fact that it was at that resistance and that the market was going sideways as well. Until the market breaks out of this 2-3 week range I think NTAP will stay there and if the market breaks down, it will go down with it (speaking short term here).
