I plan to be in Paris in last week of April. Webs throw me some tips where to go and stay there. I have never been there.

Congratulations Spike, Bean and Alice! HUGE scores! My CELL obviously thought it was time for a well-needed correction. Reculer pour mieux sauter?

I would like to say: "Enchanté", but what is really bewitching us at the moment is that my wife's daughter has just got a son, her first, Steven (Stephen). So our thoughts are otherwise occupied.

And driving 300 miles for lunch might be a bit much, especially as I don't have a drivers licence!

Have you already bought airline tickets? I definitely know how to get cheap tickets. My tickets cost me $400 each, including tax. Last year I paid $352.

I'll let you know how my hotel was when I get back.

I have a few good tips and will post them for you some time this weekend.

Dude...You couldn't make it in the U.S. without a drivers license. Us Americans love to burn up all that middle eastern oil. What they haven't realized, though, is that we have a huge reserve of oil after we deplete their resources...jejeje

It's interesting to see where the U.S. gets its oil and in what quantities. Look at these stats, and you will see that imports from the middle east are declining while imports from Canada and Mexico are increasing.

Excellent write up again Rob! hehe I really look forward to reading your writeups; you have talent! Thanks fer the grats dude!, and thanks to NBB, IIC, Lye, Gator, Karel, and RL.

Huge congrats to Bean and Alice!

VTP did pretty well this week Webs. But I do note the mathematical formula; 2xVTP<1xToast jejeje I suggest you discuss this with your French buddies and see if they can't add an X-factor to the VTP package to reverse that situation jejeje But seriously, happy travels dude! Not gonna be the same with half the VTP in cash dude! Throw up the No.1 rating for a chance!

I know, I have been there. Wonderful time we had. We noticed it right at the start, when we arrived at Chicago O'Hare. My sister and brother in law (who lived in the US for a couple of years) came to pick us up, a 2.5 hour ride both ways, from Menomonee Falls (Milwaukee). It is lucky my wife did (and does) have a drivers licence, and didn't mind to do the driving, as long as ... <sound of heavy bargaining>

We really have a very compact country, and while public transportation has suffered the last years/decades, it is still possible to get almost everywhere well within one day.

Oh, before I forget: I am still long CELL.

                      Regards,

I'm staying with ECR short please Mr. Scorekeeper, whoever that happens to be. I hope Rob volunteers for extended duty, but if not Lye why don't we set up a weekly rotational roster of volunteers?

                            Good luck next week folks!

I have found a VTP canidate that I can't ignore.

TIII is looking great and should be headed up soon.

Rob, instead of staying in cash for the next two weeks, enter me into TIII long. It should keep me in the top 5.

Ok here is a few good tips...

                                1. Don't stereotype the French. They are not all snooty and hate Americans. If you go to Paris, just remember that you are in a big city where people tend to be a little less friendly. It's just like going to a big city in the U.S.

                                2. Also, try to speak a little French to them. Always say "bonjour" when you enter a business. It's customary to do this and they will tend to be nicer to you if you make an attempt at it. Also, always be sure to say "merci", which means thank you.

                                3. Here's a great place to learn some French words and phrases.
This premium domain name is available for purchase!

                                4. Remember that you are in their country. Respect their customs.

                                5. Watch out for pick pockets on the metro or in crowds. Be aware of this at all times. Fortunately, that's about all the crime they have. It's a very safe city.

                                6. Venture out into the country. Poeple are always much friendlier there and love to talk to Americans.

                                7. Don't let the gypsy kids under the Eiffel Tower talk you into giving them money. They'll never leave you alone if you do. I always act like I don't speak English or French when they approach me...it works...lol

                                8. Study the Metro map. It's easy, once you figure it out.

                                9. Go to the Latin Quarter, while in Paris and try a Gyro at my favorite Gyro shop... Maison De Gyro
