Yes, but you can lose if you are

There are certainly some plays to make even in nasty times like this, but one has to be selective.

Best to you! And throw some stuff up on the board. And how about a short list?

looks to me though that 35 is key support......i think u may have noted that.....anytime it falls below 35 it regains its footing.....and it is following the 9 day sma so again i hope it stays above that mark....right now at 35.66.

Here's a look at CFK. Rangebound between $5 and $7. The double bottom on CFK called for a $7 target, and she took it out. But now we have a triple top on our hands, and it looks like $5 is going to be back in vogue for her again.

CFK is in construction and supplies to oil companies.Obviously volatile with the oil market. Solid earnings.

                • HTRN seems to be squeezing the shorts.

                  • I missed the window on HTRN. waiting for a 80 band slip and retest of 15 sma, or even better a 20 band retest. Time frame 1-3 min charts

3 min sto staying above 90 band, uumm possible reversal with this stock as all b/o's begin with shorts covering.

Tough R at 12.80. Oh well maybe next week!

Okay, here's three charts for your perusal. Then I'll give you my plan at the end.

                            Weekly:

                            Daily for last 90:

                            THE PLAN, STAN:

The way I see it: if you haven't already purchased CERN, then I'd wait for the $62.50 entry, or at least the lower channel touch entry. If it breaks out, you could buy the breakout above the $67 mark. Otherwise, I'd give it time. Patience is a virtue. My view is the try to time the thing as best as I can for optimum profit and success.

with CERN I was going to wait for it to touch back down to 62.50 ....before buying....and riding it back up ...hopefully to new highs.....another one is our old friend PTEN which i am going to wait to see what happans hopefully on a breakout since i think it has lot higher to go.....!!

                                Pten

                                Here's a chart on PTEN:
I think she looks okay. I know nothing of the fundamentals, just know the chart. If she would pull back to $26.50, I think that's a good entry. If we had some horrible day on the market and she fell further, you could double up and do yourself good. I am a believer in energy stocks.

Click on the chart; then click again.
