        Don't drink the KoolAid

        PT,

        I don't think those fat-free cookies are too bad here;
But I wouldn't drink the KoolAid.

I'm curious to know if the posts go into the new posts area immediately or as a batch at some equitable time in bunches. I posted to As Webs World Turns around 6.39 pm an didn't see it come up under new posts. Alot of times when I hit new posts I get some screen that says no match. Could you explain this to me.

Another question. How do I start a new thread?

I think MM blocked you from starting a new thread...Just Kidding.

On the page that lists all the threads just look up near the top left of your monitor...you will see NEW THREAD...click it...IIC

I vote for Skiracer having his own thread. Go for it!

I'm somewhat computer challenged and still can't find what Mr. Breakout was trying to point me to. I'm not interested in starting my own thread but just how to post something about a new stock or topic if I had the desire to do so. How do I get to the page where all the threads are listed that Mr. Breakout spoke of to start a new topic if that were the case.

Sorry about that...I forgot that there are different web addresses you can bookmark to gain access to MM.

This is not the one I use...but it is probably the simplest.

                      Go to:

                      http://www.mrmarketishuge.com/forum/index.php

Or you can simply go to http://www.mrmarketishuge.com (with or without the www)...they will all take you to the same place.

You then see 3 Forums (actually, I would call them Sub-Forums...but that's just the name these Forums use). Click the top one which is titled:

                      $$$Mr. Market$$$ Portfolio

Then you will see the "recently" most popular threads.

At that point you will see in the upper left (not all the way up) a button titled:

                      "New Thread"

                      Click it...and then type.

There are other ways to do it...and you can do the same thing in the other 2 Forums under $$$Mr. Market$$$ Portfolio ...they are titled Reference and Portrait gallery .

If you still can't get it I will come over to your house on Saturday and show you how to do it...as long as you live within 50 miles of West Los Angeles...Doug(IIC)

skiracer, I have no idea why your posts don't show up immediately. Or do they, and is it just the New Posts link that says "nothing new"? When you have read your own post in the thread, of course it is no longer new.

You create a new thread with the buttons at the top and the bottom of the threads listing of the forum, as has already been pointed out. Just consider: when you are looking at the posts in a thread, you can post. When you move up one level to have a look at the thread titles, you can make a new thread.

                        Regards,

                        Karel
