    Runner,
I like it right here if it can break 44.50/.75 range. Did you see 45 as resistance from across the cup on the left side. It could be clear sailing from there to 49.50 or so.

Ski that is pretty much what I was looking at. I'll keep it on my screen for a little while..

I was in meetings this morning and missed it. It gapped up at the open and has just kept going. I could almost buy it right here at 24 or on any small pullback this afternoon. I think it goes to 25 or higher.
          HWCC looking pretty good Ski...

And I missed it. I should be setting triggers when I go out or am in meetings. There was no reason for me to miss this play. Beautiful breakout.

            • I often set buy stops they can give you a bad fill and trigger you in at the HOD and then drop like a rock.

                  Ski,

I doubt it will mean much to you, but HWCC made my IBD screen last week. That screen needs more attention. It has really been grabbing some nice picks while they were making big moves: ERS DXPE HANS HITT FMD... I hope to add HWCC to the success list.

                  • I'm using 37.68 as trigger on BID. If it does not trigger by tommorow I'll drop it off screen.

Had you posted it on your watchlist? I don't remember seeing it anywhere. It came up on one of my screens. I loved it and can not believe that I missed it. My principals came down this morning and I remember seeing it gap up and then come back to the 23 level. I said to myself that I wanted to buy it and then had to get back to the itinerary and the meeting and the next time I looked it was 24.00 and I said that I thought that I could almost buy it there but didn't of course. Real nice day for it. I had a few other gainers today as SMSI did well. I worked today from 6 am to 7:00 pm with no lunch.

                        Peanuts,
HITT has been tops on a lot of lists lately. Too much exposure is often a bad sign IMO.

                          SKI and others,
So I boght HGTC @ 13.7 and they reported terrible earnings caused by a one time 2.3 million expense. Down to 13.0 in after hours. Wondering whether I should sell tommorow at the open or whether I should hold. My inclination is to hold because this is not a very volatile stock and there seems to be resistence @ 13. Also, because it was a one time expense, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the company. Would appreciate any insight that many years of looking at such situations might have produced.

HGTC does not show up as a valid ticker symbol, so I'm assuming you just made an error.

I have found that selling at the open after a big drop in share price is a mistake. It doesn't usually pay to get caught up in panic selling. usually the stock will open way down, but will recover some before the trading day is complete. If you sell at the open, you will probably get the lowest price of the day.

If you're not too far down, you may even want to consider holding for a few more days as some stocks may experience a "dead cat bounce".

If you'll post the right ticker symbol, I'm sure some of the guys on here will give you their take.

                                He's talking about HTGC.

After Hours it is at 13.00 but only on a paltry 1600 shs...But I agree with Webs...Watch the pre-m action but wait at least 25 mins before you consider selling...Good Luck, Doug(IIC)
