I've been following TASR for awhile now and have spoken with their investor relations people on several occassions regarding the stock, sales, and projected earnings. They don't like to reveal to much but you could tell by their exhuberance that sales were way up and that they have ironed out most of the legal problems with their products use. Every police dept. on the planet is now on board with their product and using it. Not to much worry about getting sued anymore. Anyway that is what convinced me that it was a great play at these price levels. Plus I love the chart. I'm in from $6 and own close to 4000 shares. Up close to 3 points at todays current price. Sorry that more people here didn't get on board with the play. Been talking about it for a few months here and I think Hags was the only one that make a play with it awhile back.

Made a slight mistake on that first post. Up 2 points today not 3. Wish it was 3 points. Slight error of about $4000. Sorry. Anyone else in on it. I mentioned it a few times over the last 3-4 wks.

HOV: closed today at $5.07. I said it would go to $5 or more. I'm still holding. If I said that there is no difference between a stock going from $2.75 to $5 or a stock going from $5 to $8 as long as the chart supported that rational do you think there is a difference in the two plays?

TASR: closed today at 8.14. up 2.14 points from my entry at $6. $5.75 / $6 was the best entry point but if Romney wins the election there will be jubilation in the streets and especially on Wall St. My revised thoughts are that this trade goes to over $10. They are the best "stun gun" play in town and the only "stun gun" play in town.

Make sure you vote. Lots of guys sacrificed it all for insuring that you have that privilege. And make sure we vote this group of bozos out of Washington. In January they'll be looking for jobs at the train and bus stations with their little boxes shining shoes. Make sure you don't tip the bastards.

Ski, Your track record is outstanding. I hope you are surviving the aftermath of Sandy. Not taking sides but I'll be very surprised if Romney wins. Hope all is well with you and yours. Take care.

          Billyjoe,
storm came onshore right at the area where we live. Im in 5 mi. from the coastline. no flooding up this high but absolutely devastating damage and loss across the state especially at the coast on the barrier islands. it will be a couple of years before they get this fixed and back to anywhere near normal.
          make sure you vote Republican.

Ski, Sometimes you've got to wonder what Romney's thinking. If he's right about 47% already being against him it could be because of his comments alienating women, former and current union members, blacks, hispanics, college students, the poor, elderly, etc. He's got every right to speak his mind but it will cost him. Just my observations from the Ohio electorate. His campaign was mismanaged in my opinion.

billy, isn't it great to live in Ohio? Both our votes are really going to count this time and finally I don't have a husband who's going to cancel it out.

Ski, Sandy seems to have taken its toll on NJR and NYCB. The charts look terrible yet at some point if not now, it will be time to load up the shares.

                  NJR---6 month chart http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/qui...ow=True&time=7

                  NYCB--6 month http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/qui...ow=True&time=7

I value your opinion and am leaning towards waiting before buying more. What are your thoughts? I see both as long term , reinvest divs. etc. Thanks

                    Billy

I'm looking to buy NYCB and NJR in my long term account. Charts are oversold. IMO if you're going hold it long term, buy when it's at the low. If you're looking to swing, then wait for chart setup.

I was of the mindset that it was going to split by now but with the election going to Obama and the devestation caused by Sandy NJR has taken it on the chin. There are going to be big time severe infrastructure reprecussions for NJR here at the Jersey seashore. In several municipalities their lines have been completely compromised and whole systems will have to be dug up and new installed. I'm not sure if they are insured for this type of damage or if they will be covered but it is going to cost someone big bucks. I think that is what you are seeing now in NJR. Except for what they buy for me with the DRIP program I have with them I never buy any NJR until the split. I would wait for the split before buying anymore of it. Not sure how all this is going to effect the stock price although it has dropped almost 7 points since Sandy hit. I would also hold onto what you own. I haven't been following NYCB and have been out of it for quite some time. Good solid stock though.

But you never know when the low is (or was) till after it happens (see GRPN)

Just checking in, Ski.... glad to see you're up and running after Sandy came through. Do you see any opportunities arising from the aftermath? Best wishes.

Thanks for thinking of me Peanuts. Toms River is devastated and the beach barrier islands just across the bay bridge are a war zone. Like a tornado ripped thru the area. Going to take years to rebuild. If you have seen any pictures of the amusement piers being wiped out and that roller coaster ride sitting in the ocean that pier and that ride belonged to my brother in law and his family. they took a big hit. but we are still alive and have our health so its just a matter of rebuilding. Going to be plenty of business. I am getting numerous calls. Hate to see business develop because of others misfortunes but someone is going to have to do it.

Wow, Ski, I didn't realize that the devastation hit so close to home, literally and figuratively. I'm glad you guys are ok and that the destruction wasn't worse.
