it's up almost 2 points from his entry and the proof is in the pudding. Great play MM with a more than entertaining synopsis of the reasoning behind the buy.
Wait til the market gets some steam. You'll be seeing a lot more of these. Great to have you aboard this train.

Where do you guys think is a good entrance point for these battered stocks.

TASR (this one will come back but how far might it fall first)
CME (this one also will come back but how far might it fall first)
      ZICA

Should I wait for a pullback to 50 for CMTL or get on know?

If I could see some charting to make me understand where I should get in would be great.

I had noticed CMTL in mid-Feb and bought the breakout on (looks like) Feb 14th. Next day, it got slammed down and sat there for another 2 weeks. Never looked it again since, but should have spotted it during its subsequent breakout in mid-March. I have been too busy trading FTO and BYD. This week I am expecting happiness from DRAX and BYD and STN (again). Nevada's gaming results (very positive) for Feb. just came out, this just after an upward revision by HET, which is not LV-centric. Another strong qtr is ahead for the LV-heavy casino companies.

The stock is now 11% below the purchase price. Looks like it's working on a base.

Does it report this coming Wednesday? Right now I love this stock at this level. It is definitely one of the leaders an at the moment is only another victim of the market adjusting itself for whatever reasons and there are many. I wouldn't be worried about this stock as it will for sure be one of the leaders if and when the markets reverse and begin any trend upward.
I haven't taken a position yet and didn't earlier when MM made his entry because I have a phobia about buying stocks over 50. Doesn't seem sensible to invest $50000 to buy 1000 shares to hope that it goes up 1 point to make a $1000 and risk $50000 to do it. The $30/35 level doesn't effect my psyche the same way. I don't think the increase in share number is a big deal an in a month or so no one will remember it anyway.
Right now this issue is at a bargain and the way the markets are going I would keep a watchful eye on it an if we get a bounce this coming week it would be a great play from here or anywhere under this point, the lower the better, for an intraday or short swing trade or ride it until the markets turn down again which in my opinion is going to be the overall trend over the intermediate term. One, usually smaller, step forward an a subtle two steps backward.
I wouldn't be in any rush to buy until I got some firm signal of a reversal of what's going on now. The cheaper the better right now.

skiracer, I have similar thoughts on this stock. But I'm also concerned that if it reports bad quater then it won't be "the cheaper the better" anymore on its way down. And if it reports good quater then it won't be cheap

Channel long on the weekly, and a minor 50% retrace signal today, so it's got a chance to bounce. For the 50% system, I am waiting for the next signal down.

I disagree. If a company continues to post great earnings, its valuation will become more and more attractive. Management can then do many things to improve a company's stock price:

                          Issue a dividend
                          Buy back stock
Agree to be purchased by another company

At the end of the day, if you buy great earnings at a reasonable price, it's hard to lose money, as long as you are patient.

The key word of the day... "PATIENCE"

This is something a lot of us, including myself, could use a little more of.

Patience is only in the eyes of the beholder. There are numerous levels of patience dependent on your discipline or strategy in how you trade. The key is to exercise it according to your trading strategy. No more or no less than what is required for what you're trying to accompolish. It's only a portion of emotional control in exercising your trading discipline and once you've developed a discipline to follow then patience is one of the keys in following it through to the end result of the trade.
Patience like your emotions needs to be controlled in order to meet your goals. So much depends on your knowing what you are trying to do or accompolish.
