  • Well, DMK, not much of a follow through on AAPL. Tried like heck in the early going, but it hit that blue line and bounced back PSAR has flipped bullish, though.

Got into NGPS at 23.98. Seemed to have found support at the 200 DMA line, so I consider this a low risk purchase. I'm putting a tight mental stop just underneath the MA.

Not sure NGPS has bottomed. Not sure what is going on there. I don't get it, unless some big whig is dumping shares. That s~H~s targeted $24-. We could see $23, $22 or so. I'll have to check after today's action.

BTW: Tol, KBH jumped up early, and have pulled back into the red now. . . .

      • Yeah, Newborn, went off to a meeting, had the NGPS stop order just under the 200 line. Just got back to my desk to discover I'm out.

NGPS doesn't want me around I've bought twice in the last few weeks and neither have worked out.

        • Dilemma dilemma...

What's to do with STV? They report in the morning, and it's been rocking for me this week. I'd love to take it off the table, but it could have more in the tank.

Well, I hated to do it, but sold it. Some companies have been posting good earnings lately and getting punished. Hopefully will set up again another time.

If it keeps going up, I guess they can't take that 94% away from me

Excellent plan. Holding through earnings can be very risky.

              • STV up 12%

What the heck? I can't understand how some companies report great numbers and get little attention and how some compnanies report good numbers and shoot up 12%.

STV is up 12%. Maybe next time guys.

Yeah, I expected one of those "buy on the rumor, sell on the news" things. Like I said, It's been kind to me, and I've made some good bucks. Too bad I didn't stay in one more day.

Man, how high do PE's get on construction companies

                  • I started buying STV around 12.00. Today's earnings news has more to it, about a large increase in the backlog due to new contracts recently signed and previously announced. I think the sum of the new contracts was greater than STV's market value at that point in time! This is a $20+/sh stock in the works.

                        Awesome B.J. You're a genius!
And hey, I think you did the right thing taking it off the table, what with the expanding long and earnings. But look at the daily channel; see how that drop expanded it, and now the upside is over 18.00 and rising fast. This puppy is acting VERY bullish so watch for another perfect entry. Your patience was rewarded last time, and certainly we know history DOES repeat! lol Well done dude. 94%. ~whistle!~

lol, hilarious. 3 posts at the same minute.

Even funnier is it's probably the first (perhaps last lol) time that ParkTwain and I are thinking the same thing at exactly the same time.

                              • I agree Park! STV is trading on the future, and it's very good.

DMK, not yet. looks like it's back down toward its LOD. I'm waiting on a double-bottom clear. Otherwise, just a falling knife. 10 min to go, doesn't look like it'll happen today.
