My ears come off on the weekends. I added my daughter into the shot. I figure that if you and Lye are going to put your little Vulcans up, so will I.

    Bean,
Are you in Seattle now? The striper spring run is just beginning on the Jersey shore. I'm in Toms River, NJ and for the last couple of weeks I have been hitting the beach a couple of mornings real early before sunrise depending on the moon cycle and the tides. No luck yet but the water is warming up considerably an it won't be long. I'm strickly a lure guy but the guys using worms and clams are getting them regularly now. I'm building over on the beach right now and have an office trailer 1 block from the water so it's easy for me to store my waders and rods and tackle in the trailer and get changed there. Anyone in the area who wants to try it out can look me up or call me at: 732-830-1077 office land line or 201-832-3880 cell. I can set it up for any morning around 4:30/5:00 am until 8:00 am. In another week or so when the weather breaks and the water really starts to warm up this is some of the best beaches and striper fishing you'll find.

Hey Webs.... Here's one I like of my boy and me surf fishing.... It was taken by my wife last fall at Ocean Isle Beach NC.

Note: Although "on" the East coast.... the beach at Ocean Isle runs "East and West".... and not "North and South". Notice the sun is setting down the beach. I love that beach and have been going there since before I was born.lol.... I remember when there was nothing but sand dunes on this beach.

There are some very large shellcracker and decent bass fishing. Have you ever hit that lake in VA with the Florida strain Largemouth? I forget what it is called.

I have cousins out here in WA state that are into Steelhead fishing. That reminds me to give them a call this weekend.

Oh, and I forgot about my Grander fantasy (Blue Marlin).

I too would love to hook a lunker largemouth. I used to be quite a freshwater fisherman in my youth, probably spending all day on the weekends in the summer on Cape Cod fishing. Best I ever did was catch a 3 lb bass, though I must have caught thousands of them.

Never tried it in Florida, my guess is my luck would be a bit better.
