An IMCL Potential Liability
One potential liability affecting ImClone is the pending result of a patent case, which they have appealed. My understanding is that the decision is due in a couple weeks. I have read briefly the background information in this appeal but have no idea whether the case is leaning in IMCL's favor or that of their adversary, Yeda Research & Development. I will probably buy some Aug. 35 puts for some fire insurance. I would welcome input on the facts of the legal case--linked above--from anyone with expertise in such legal proceedings. Thanks.—Rob

Rob,
Syd Barrett's loss has to be one of the saddest in rock 'n roll. The potential he had and it was mostly gone by age 21. Lots of stories blame it on drug use , but he showed signs of schizophrenia early on. The drugs probably didn't help.

BillyJoe, everything I read about Syd Barrett said that he was a pretty big acid head. Having lead pretty much a wasteful life course in my questionable youth, and having grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 60s and early 70s, I can identify with that. Funny how things turn out though. If Barrett hadn't quit the band, they probably never would have signed on David Gilmour, who, IMO, is largely responsible for the wild success of the band later on.
Would the Stones have made it without Brian Jones? Who knows?
Would either Lennon or McCartney have achieved 1/100 of their success independently of one another as they did as a result of their chance meeting? I've often wondered.

Yhoo
Rob,
Here is a good play: YHOO is currently at 33.55 and the July 32.50 call bids at 2.15, leaving an intrinsic value of 1.05! 1.05 for 1.5 weeks rill expiration is damn good! Besides, if your shares won't get called away, keep them and rolling the August 32.50 is a very safe bet, as YHOO is on an uptrend to challenge the 42 high made last January.
