I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Lye, could you throw up the rules once again. I think we only get to be 1 position at a time, and only in 2 stocks (or in and out of 1 stock twice I guess) during the week.
Scifos, as far as I know, the latest incarnation of the rules looks like this:
Looks like we're gonna see record participation this week DUDE!!!!
We've got 20 players on the board so far this week, of which 3 are playing for the first time. There are 15 long positions, 3 short positions, and 2 cash positions (counting BillyJoe). There are 14 players who have not yet “thowed in.”
Hi,
Just want to see how I rate among you fellas.
May I join? If yes, I would like VCLK for this week. Earnings coming up this week and I expect to hit and make it to at least mid 19/20.
Karel,
Are you admitting that you would have done better in CA$H?
Glad to see you back posting again! I hope all went well with you.
Nope, NBB, AIR actually made me a profit, look back at the score. My Mechanical Fund (QHOF over at www.marketocracy.com) is run along lines defined on the Mechanical investing board of the Motley Fool (www.fool.com). It uses a (for me) black box: the Valueline (www.valueline.com) Timeliness ranking. Therefore stocks may drop off the list and pop up when you least expect it.
Yes, all went well, thank you! Things are a bit chaotic still: cardboard boxes everywhere and still lots to do in the house. We'll manage.
Regards,
Karel
