Lye,
You've got some awesome new bloodlines in the POTW. Great job. I'm actually going to submit a pick for next week.
Lye and Rob, the POTW wouldn't have survived without you. If I was Donald Trump you'd both be hired in a minute. You've both got creativity and marketing skills up the wazoo. Even if you didn't make me a dime , the entertainment value is priceless.
Lye, is it true you supply Allison Krause with Goji to keep her vocal chords smooth? Or was it to keep her fiddlin arm supple? Whatever , it's workin.

2) STINKOLA -------------------------B) A leader in the Foreign Legion
3) LINK, PINK, AND MINK --------------C) A ritzy hotel
4) ANNA CONDA ----------------------D) A city in Moronica
5) CAPTIAN GORGONZOLA -------------E) Sausage makers
Ya gotta use your wits on dese, wize guyz! Try to figure out the gag name & where it belongs!!

Rob has been great for the POTW. His organizational skills are HUUUGE! His scorekeeping program is awesome too. I always say that "continuous improvement" is essential for any organization to flourish. The POTW experienced a record 27 players this week.... That's about a 400% increase over the average participation last summer. HUUUGE!!!!
btw.... Alison really loves "the GoJi"...lolBEEF!... it's whats for dinner!

Thanks And Other Stuff
First off, thank you Spike, Dakat, Gary, Pete, Jiesen, Mimo, Ray, Lye, BillyJoe, Skiracer (any anyone I missed) for the kind words regarding my scorekeeping this week.

Originally posted by mimo 100Have you thought about sharing some of your technical computer learning with the board?Regarding that font I used to create the comments this time, I was disappointed in the way it looked in the finished product. It looked much better than that while I was editing it, but somewhow it got distorted-looking in the process of reducing the number of colors in the palette from 64k to 256, which I had to do in order to set a transparent background. I wanted to fix it up to make it nicer-looking and easier to read, but I had already spent too much time on it as it is. It wasn't a lot of intense time, mind you. I was sitting there with my laptop watching TV while I was doing it. (I have to watch Monk on Friday nights. I love that show.)
Doug, re Pyro Diablo, according to this page, Dave's Ultimate Insanity Sauce (the one I just used last night) rates 250,000 scoville units, whereas the Tabasco Sauce that everyone's familiar with measures 2,140. Your Pyro Diablo is there too, with a whopping 1,500,000 scoville unit rating. I'm telling you, the Dave's is so incredibly hot, I can't even imagine anything being that much hotter. Would you believe they have one on that page that rates at 16 million scoville units? It's called Blair's 16 Million Reserve. Here's what it says about it: "That's it. The race is over. It's chemically impossible to get any hotter! Not really a sauce, but worthy of inclusion. What you will find inside the Famous Reserve bottle is amazing, a 1ml pharmaceutical grade vial filled with this Pure Capsaicin Crystal.--No more than 999 Bottles will be offered."
BillyJoe, welcome back, dude!!! I hope you're doing okay. Thanks for starting this thread.
Gary,
I think my (independently-arrived-at) answers agree with Doug's:
Costa Plente ---> A ritzy hotel
Stinkola ---> A city in Moronica
Link, Pink, and Mink ---> Sausage makers
Anna Conda ---> A hospital patient
Captain Gorgonzola ---> A leader in the Foreign Legion
I'm probably going to play IMCL again next week. It didn't get the pop it deserved this week after their huge news. On the other hand, the sell-on-the-news event was very weak and very shallow. I expect to see institutional buying moving in shortly. Recently there were as many as 11 million shares shorted on this one. I think when she finally moves, she's going to move big. Until then it looks like 37 is a new floor with maybe a few spikes below that level.
So unless I change my mind, my official declaration is: IMCL long Monday morning.
This is what I have so far for the beginning of next week:
Bean Stocks: ALNY long
Spikefader: ECR short
Pete H.: GFX long
Mimo: $$$
Gary: BLKB long
Skiracer: AITX long
Rob: IMCL long
Did I miss anyone?—Rob
