lord knows I've been wrong afore...but I spotted this one a few weeks ago when it popped up on the new highs list and I liked the chart and the fact that it traded on the big board. But I do think you have to hold it for at least a year to get a decent return, ie 50% or more.

So far I've bought SMTX MEA IOM with a 10% stop loss on them. At last glance ASX TOPT and MIVA are also up over 5%, but I can't buy them all.

This bunch doesn't appear as strong as May's or June's. Hard to get agreement on the dirrection of these due to technical uncertainty in the next 30 days. Some of the highest rated were rated "hold" even by the service giving them the scores.

There seems to be no correlation between number rating and performance for the month. For instance, in June , 5 stocks returned above 15%. They were in order BPHX ICOC CRNT MIVA and CCC, however, their numerical ratings were 6,7,4,9,1.

    ACTS.

I've owned it in the past and got stopped out, but I just bot some when it dropped to 5.6+/- and popped right back up like a cork in the same day. But it'll probably sit right around here for a while more...like a few months maybe. As long as it doesn't make a lower low I'll hold it for the payoff. Some stocks I have more patience with than others.

BJ...how are you defining cheap? Do you really mean low priced? Big difference.

FWIW, I bought some wwww last week at 6.07 when it popped up. I later found out why and wondered just what the heck the equilibrium price really is? I may hold this one in hopes that the new company will be much stronger than the sum of its parts. WWWW has really struggled over the past few years and is damn luckly to be bought out before they burned out.

I also have ASX and am about to lose patience with it, but have decided to give it some more time because it has something I can't quite id about it. I think it just needs some more time to make a new high.
