I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Register for free and you'll be able to post messages on this forum and also receive emails when $$$ MR. MARKET $$$ makes his own trades. ($$$MR. MARKET$$$ is a proprietary investor and does not provide individual financial advice. The stocks mentioned on this forum do not represent individual buy or sell recommendations and should not be viewed as such. Individual investors should consider speaking with a professional investment adviser before making any investment decisions.)

I'll join you for the Coronas at the 19th Hole...But the only thing I'll use my racket for is to whack Lye over the head with. I really want to meet Lye's wife though...She must be an "Ammazing" woman to put up with him...LOL
LOL....I agree with you on all points. I think I'll join you two
for coronas.
I believe everyone could beat me at golf. Amazing thing....
I swing and swing and that stupid ball NEVER moves.
Hey, I'm not a golfer either, but $$MM$$ is, and he is KING OF THE WEEKEND. Just give me a chance to play some tennis and drink Coronas.
"I was thinking that a 3 Day Mr. Market Cruise to the Bahamas out of Miami would be nice."
PLEASE PROVIDE A LINK. The cruise could be nice but at the Bahamas you don't want to leave the boat except for the big new casino. Of course, I could write ahead and see whether we could get an hour or two with old Mr. John Templeton of Templeton Funds fame at his Lyford Cay home. <cough>
The cruise could be nice but at the Bahamas you don't want to leave the boat . . . .
Bahamas? Do you want to die young? Maybe we could practise our self defense skills. . . target practice . . . might be an encouragement to pray . . . .and you can forget Jamaica, too.
IIC, if you want cheap, my bro-in-law owns two hotels in Monroe, WI. (Super 8/AmericInn). You could take a cheese factory tour (4 or 5 minutes is enough); walk through the local museum (1 or 2 minutes would suffice); visit the historic downtown square (30 seconds is too long); eat at one of the fine restaurants (McDonald's, Burger King, Dairy Queen--bring your own antacid); tour the local brewery (brews "Burghoff" beer aka "Hitler Beer" his private formula--remember, I abstain from alcoholic beverages); and view the beautiful countryside (while a semi sprays whey and manure on local fields).
(You'll buy PARL after this trip ). Don't forget, most folk here wear cheese heads . . . .
ON the serious side, $500 per night is too rich for my blood. How about Jackson Hole in the summer time, instead? Beautiful place. And there is plenty to do.
Hey look, I live in Vegas. I can take care of arranging for any kind of accommodation the group wants. Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Monte Carlo, Paris, Aladdin, Bellagio, Mirage, Caesar's, Wynn, Golden Nugget, The Palms, you name it, and I can make the calls.
Monte Carlo is a good deal for the $$$. Mirage and Treasure Island are not as cheap as a couple of years ago. I like the Venetian's rooms but not the casino. I like the Mirage pool quite a bit. Wives will like Venetian and Paris and Bellagio for their luxuries. Wynn is brand new but not universally lauded, but very nice amenities. Great restaurants everywhere on the Strip. Hiking and horseback riding at Red Rock Canyon just west of town. Boating at Lake Mead. I personally avoid the MGM Grand (too large), Stratosphere (bad parking garage, too many tourists), Rio (dark casino, loud stage show in casino). Best building interior: Luxor's pyramid, but don't stay there. Blue Man Group, Penn and Teller, Cirque de Soleil at multiple venues, "Fat Elvis" at the Barbary Coast, the Bugsy Siegel "shrine" found behind the Flamingo, the neon sign graveyard downtown, on and on ...
Another side trip for you traders is to visit the main offices of Bright Trading, a facility for individual traders. This is a successful business based in Las Vegas but with offices in several other US cities. I took an evening class given by the owners, the Bright brothers, and I can vouch for their knowledge and savvy in the markets. They are a great resource, right here in Las Vegas. Lately they are into training traders to do "pair trading" (aka statistical arbitrage, aka "picking up nickels in front of a steamroller").
If it gets done on the east coast an in the spring or summer we should give some consideration to New York State around the Hunter/Windham Mtn. areas. Woodstock is right there and aside from some of the most beautiful countryside in the USA there are many interesting things to do. Some of the best trout fishing in the world, great antique area, many many boutique shopping areas, great hiking, climbing, horseback riding, and family things to do. Plenty of great restaurants and bed and breakfast inns for lodging. Reasonably priced area that time of the year. Plus we could all meet an eat at Sweet Sues restaurant. She was a very famous model and the first Orvis fishing gear model. Plus she is one of the best fly fishing experts in the area and a renowned mountain climber having climbed Everest and K2. Plenty of great things to do in that area.
Is Rhinebeck NY near there? I like that area as well. Once I attended a very cool antique airplane show there. They flew in on a grass runway out in the country.
Yep, now I see, Phoenicia, NY is not that far from Rhinebeck.
Geez...Guess I'm a bit more "Worldly" than some...I've been to the Bahamas lots of times. Been to Jamaica too...USVI 3x...BVI...Puerto Rico...St. Martin a few times...Although I don't like it...The St. Maarten side...(Dutch is OK...but the French side...I'll pass). Been to Cayman and Cozumel...They were OK.
Anyway...You just have to know how to carry yourself in the Bahamas...I know the scam games...But then again...My wife is Belizean(I've been there lots too)...Even though it is in Central America...She is a Creole...Carribean...Maybe that's why I know how to deal with the Caribs down there???...But if you are really scared...I could have 2 of my Sister-In-Laws come with us...They know how to deal with them...They have gone with us on most of our trips...Pretty fun to watch them in action...No kidding...IIC

Well...I always wanted to stay at The Mansion at MGM...But since Dave can't get me in...I was thinking maybe you could arrange it at Hooters???

I eat breakfast at Sweet Sues in Phoenicia almost every Wednesday or Thursday during the skiing season. We ski Hunter or Windham every week now that the season is in. It's a beautiful area especially in the spring and fall. Plenty to do and some of the most beautiful bed and breakfast inns.
