telephone equipment redux.....I am reading this book entitled "confessions of a wall street analyst". Basically it talks about analysts becoming rock stars as wall street firms needed them to secure banking relationships with foreign telecom companies seeking to go public. We saw what happened when a slew of telecoms found themselves with $$$ looking to spend: CSCO, TLAB etal soared....Now we have telecoms stengthening again, I don't know why....But I am playing the equipment plays ie PWAV on a hunch India and CHina are spending big time.

Whatever it was, it was medical in nature. As I recall, they said on his show that he was scheduled to have back surgery and would be slow in recuperating. A series of guest hosts replaced him for awhile.
Then they indicated he would not be returning to his show. I, too, enjoyed his shows, especially the panel of guests which included some of the best Wall Street had to offer such as Cohen, Birinyi, Marsden, etc.
The PBS replacement has little to offer.
