The steel index I follow is making an upside breakout from a falling flag pattern. That's usually bullish.

I look at charts to see which moving average is working best for a particular stock....the 30 day ema was acting like serious support and it worked again....plus, the Dow broke the triangle to the upside which I didn't think was likely.....I think if youre just buying off the fundamentals, you'd never understand my apparent flip flop....I just hope I am not wrong now.

Actually I do understand your change of mind. You seemed so adamant in your feelings initially. But I've been there myself. Alot times I don't even know what they do or care for that matter other than if they are in a strong sector and the chart is giving me something I'm looking for. It's strictly TA and gut. Whatever you saw that changed your mind is good. Well I'm out of it for the time being an you're in it. It never fails to amaze me. Good luck with it.

Not sure that from what I've read that many here understand what diversification really is. Its not holding a bunch of stocks in different sectors...that a minor diversification within your stock holdings. To be diversified you need to hold other investments besides stocks. Could it be that no one here was in the market 6 years ago or maybe they think its different this time??
