What is your price target to sell? How long do you expect to hold? Are you using any stop losses or hedges?

Interesting company, with good fundamentals. It has appreciated more than 600% over the past 3 years from lows to highs.

I just covered the last of my AKS shares @ 12.88.... I'll use 12.88 as my cover price to close the "featured position" for a 4% gain on the trade.

A cows nose is very sensitive. When I check my cows teeth I grab the inside of their nose with my thumb and 2nd and 3rd fingers and pinch tight and then I open their top lip and check the teeth (they are in a headgate/squeeze chute of course when I do this). I also have a pair of nose pliers (a set of special pliers with balls on the tips and a chain lock to lock the pliers in the closed position)

I bought a group of hereferd crossed "non-polled" bull calves back a couple of years ago. A few of them were about 12 months old (700 lbs+) and their horns were about 2.5 inches in dia and about a foot long and too big to fit their head in my headgate. So my farmhand (Johnny) and me would drive them in my squeeze chute and squeeze their body tight.... We slid a 4x4 post under the animal's neck so they couldn't lower the head. Johnny climbed on top of the chute and held the bull by the nose with those pliers and I sawed off the horns with an electric sawsall ( I left about a two inch stub).... Then I had to castrate those big rascals.... Johnny and me were both covered in blood by the time we finished working those bulls that day.... btw Many dairy farmers use those nose rings you talked about on their herd bulls. It's a good way to get a 2,500 pound Holstein Bull under control pretty quick if you need to. The dairy farmers I know around here don't use bulls much anymore. They AI breed their cows with purchased frozen semen....

My average cow weighs 1,100 pounds and my average herd bull weighs about 1,800 pounds.... SO would I ever intentionally rouse a bunch of cattle up and let them run over me?.... Never Pete.... A small group of cows can kill you by accident.... And a single bull can kill you on purpose! I know of farmers who have been killed by bulls. Here are some examples.

A 36-year-old county Mayo farmer has been gored to death by a bull on his farm near Ballyhaunis in Co Mayo.

btw.... I never use a "hot stick" (electric cattle prod) on my brood cows or bulls, it makes them crazy!.... Sometimes I'll shock a four or five hundred pound calf if he won't move thru the chute for working or loading.... But I never shock an animal I have to continually work around.

I do carry a heavy fiberglass stick with me when I'm walking amongst my herd. If I have a bull that tends to want to face me, I'll smack him in the soft tissue of his nose with that stick and let him know that approaching me is NOT acceptable behavior, and I never turn my back on a bull.

it sure is! and I'm not so sorry to have sold PTSI now, either...

screw real estate values, let's just see this sucker listed on IBD and get another 10% bump next week, eh? Anyway, I don't think they're selling real estate, they're selling a dream, but doing a heck of a job at it. If they can make $3.50/sh cash to pay out to the shareholders in a crappy RE market, there's gonna be lots more where that came from, and we'll see our 15% in no time.

    Lye,
Tell me about Smithfield Foods (SFD). They're headquartered in Virginia, aren't they? You probably have had some dealings with them. Cramer says they are cannibalistic and barbarian when it comes to exploiting the weaknesses of their competitors and an awesomely successful company.
