I have 37 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. I do view your thread Peanuts but your assumption is wrong............. Do a search for "LMS" and you'll see that it has been mentioned over 50 times on this forum since 10/2004.... You'll also see that it has (at least) twice shown up in $$$Mr Market$$$'s data dumps and IIC and Karel both posted about it numerous times before your arrival here.
Actually I started following LMS (and put it in my main daily watch list) after my buddy Pete Hansen mentioned it on NBB's thread earlier this year. See post #1828....
All that said, the reason I bought it today was because It's showing up on a couple of searches I regularly run and after further fundamental dd I just decided I like it..... AND the selloff this morning seemed extreme to me.... AND.... I like that 25% of the float is shorted, that volitility makes it a good one to swing trade imo.
Now to get back OT.... Peanuts DUDE!.... Your new avatar looks more like something "The stock Boy" might choose dude.... LOL!
I didn't really think that you decided to use LMS as a pick this week because it showed up on my screen. You're a good picker, yourself. It's pretty cool though, that the week that it does show up on my screen is the same week that it becomes a "big mover" That screen does actually work... I've been keeping close watch over the weeks of the results and throughout the week I see swings sometimes as high as 33% from lows to highs...
Now, let's keep to the OT: Kit had more personality than David Hasselhoff

I suppose "Hurricane" VA could be kinda like "Lyehopper Hollow" VA.... It's a real place even though it doesn't show up on your basic Google search.... For example if you Google for Lyehopper Hollow you DO find an actual (listed) place in.... you guessed it!.... WEST-by-GOD-Virginia!.... And as a side point.... "Wise VA" has an elevation of double Bedford's and it's WAAAY west.
Wayyy off-topic, but just shootin' the breeze: shoot, yeah. Wise, VA is so far west in Virginia, I think it's farther west than the whole state of West VA. It's almost due south of Columbus, Ohio. And yes, it's a real place, alright. I'd hate to have such deep family roots in a figment of someone's imagination. The folks that live up there call it "the Hurricane," or "the Hurricane section." And they don't pronounce it like HUR-ih-KANE either; they pronounce it like HUR-uh-k'n. It's a cool place. George C. Scott grew up there. I know an old dude named Gilliam in Kingsport, TN who was good buddies with Scott "when they was young'uns."
Hurricane is in West VA Rockin'Rob.... This website says it's elevation is only 700 ft.... Bedford VA sits @ 1,017 feet..... Hurricane West VA is further west though.

There's a place called "Hurricane" in Virginia a lot farther west from here and at a higher elevation.

Have you ever had a hurricane hit Lyehopper Hollow ?
There's a place called "Hurricane" in Virginia a lot farther west from here and at a higher elevation. Supposedly the place was named for a hurricane that caused a lot of devastation in the area some time in the (mid?) 1800's. My suspicion is that it was more likely a tornado. My grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather were all born and raised there, a few miles outside of present-day Wise, VA. Being a genealogy buff, I've plodded through a lot of the old cemeteries up there. My 4x-great-grandfather first showed up in that vicinity in 1820 (during the James Monroe administration), one of the earliest settlers. Lawd, I'll betcha he was a tough ol' bird.
