Doing well, but...
I think everyone is more overstimulated, overworked, busy and tired than ever before.
Case in point: Nobody seems to notice that the top thread (FOSL Sold) needs another ten posts!
I blame social media for this outrage.

How's everyone doing?
School’s out for the summer and I just woke up from eight straight days of napping and I’m still tired. I heard Louetta is back.

Yeah...I miss alot of them 2...As far as Spike...he helped me a lot on thinking discipline...Which is a never ending battle...But he did help me a lot on that aspect whether he realized it or not...DougOriginally posted by riverbabe View PostHoly smokes Doug! That chart is scary and a revelation! I haven't read IBD for years and years now, and am doing just fine. Don't miss it at all. Not even the forum. There are just so many other sources for news and information, for free, out there. MrM and your chat room and web site and others provide plenty of good leads and clear, clean reasoning. I sure do miss Spike and the pirate gang though. River

Well...I can rant and rave about the perils of CANSLIM...But nobody wants to hear it from me.
Since you take IBD you can see the holdings of the Canslim Select Fund.
Ever wonder why they don't show you a chart of how the fund has done since inception?

It doesn't give the first days NAV but as I recall it was 10.16 or 10.21...So the CANSLIM EXPERTS made 2% over a 5 yr period...I don't really know what to tell you...But I'm certainly not impressed.
One argument I've heard from Canslimmers is that the fund is too big to move quick enough for Canslim...I say Hogwash...The net is only about $40mil..That is peanuts for an institution...Some individual trdaers are moving a lot more than that.
You decide...Best, Doug

I like aerospace engineering. I wasn’t good enough to get into UC Davis and San Jose State is three hours from home. I just went electrical because my brother majored in it. I’m not sure if this degree guarantees a job after graduation. It took my brother and his classmates a few years to get their first job after they graduated. I know most of my friends that are non-engineering majors are having a blast in school.Originally posted by riverbabe View PostElectrical eng. is the toughest I think. How are you at chemical, mechanical/ aerospace? Sounds like you know the field you want to be in and so can at least get a good job when you're finished. Canslim is a good way to start on the fundamentals, but it's not really helpful technically. Read anything by Toni Turner also, especially short term trading -- in your local book store for about $10. It's not only really informative, but fun to read too -- quite humorous.
Ski has a lot going on in his life right now. I have an email address for him. I'll get his permission to give it to you. He apparently got spammed to death, so changed everything. I'll PM you when I hear from him.
I checked out Toni Turner’s web site. I’ll spend more time this Sunday after the library.

He just disappeared into thin air, email account shut down.

Any ideas about what you might switch to? Do you have any stock shares or are you still on the learning curve? (also no biggie, since we all go through it) Probably safer not to invest until you get lots of experience paper trading. (Sometimes I think I still should be paper trading! grrr..)

I’m in my second year. I thought I was majoring in electrical engineering but I don’t think I can hack it. I’m not investing, still not clear. You can see I’m not doing so well in the POTW.
