INTC: are you a buyer of INTC at this time?

    MRVL:still hot on this one?
I like all three stocks you mentioned. I'm very excited about Ichan taking over the IMCL's board as chairman. He did reject a takeover of IMCL at 36/share, thinking the stock could do at least a 48.

In a note sent to clients, HSBC analyst Rohit Pandey stated that he has changed his bearish outlook on INTC, citing several facotrs: 1. An edge over competitor Advanced Micro Devices Inc. 2. The ability of INTC to deliver earnings growth despite inventory concerns. “We believe that Intel has a better handle than Advanced Micro Devices on the cost side of the equation — both on the product and operating costs. On the revenue side of the equation, we believe that pricing and product superiority remain key drivers,” Pandey wrote.

In an interview with INTC CFO Andy Bryant, UBS analyst Alex Gauna realized that Intel’s margins hit a cyclical bottom in the third quarter. “Operating margin should expand in 2007 as 45 nanometer process technology leadership and the benefits of Intel’s restructuring enables lower costs,” Gauna said in a note to investors

Marvell's overall financial performance—and the company has been one of the best performers in the semiconductor sector—could suffer for several quarters to come. Marvell expects the acquired business to break even by the end of 2007. Charlie Glavin, an analyst with Needham & Co., says it's more likely to take 18 months
Glavin's comments about the integration process of MRVL's purchase of INTC is purely specualtive. His aim of 18 months versus 12 months could not be proven by an evidence-based methoda, be it benchmark check or trials. That said, the time frame could be 5 months or 24 months. One should always refrain from crystal ball type of predictions

Another very good and informative article. Thanks for the insight.
youre very welcome. The information contained is never before revealed or presented in any associated press type of coverage. We strictly searched Forms 8-K and 10-K of 2004 through 2006-- which are presented by the compnay to the SEC. For that matter, i don't trust any private firm analyst's report; theyre all crooks and it's hard to hold what they write accountable in court.
