(100 miles x 1760 yds per mile = 176,000 yds) / 25 yds per lap = 7040 laps but you are correct in that it is an excellent job.

          Save Your Eyesight!

So, which nutrients will help your eyes naturally remain in tip-top shape?
Well, you should start off by lowering your sugar intake. Sugar is one of the biggest and baddest blood vessel destroyers. Damaged blood vessels slowly impair your vision over time.
As far as the nutrients you should be looking to consume, carotenes and vitamin A, here’s a list of food sources that’ll provide a healthy serving of these necessary nutrients: eggs, kale, spinach, turnip greens, collard greens, romaine lettuce, broccoli, zucchini, corn, garden peas, Brussels sprouts, butter, beef, elderberries, and chicken liver.
The more nutrition you get, the healthier the retina, and the better your eyesight will remain over time.
Vision impairments occur at a very slow pace, so it’s important to begin taking positive steps as soon as possible.
There are going to be people who are skeptical of this method, but they’ll be the same people shelling out thousands upon thousands of dollars to the experts in lab coats, while slowly losing their sight.
Also consider taking the nutrients Lutein and Zeaxanthin.
It’s in our DNA to be able to survive on natural resources, but for some reason it’s also human nature to turn to unnatural and unproven cures.

The Boston Globe today published a note saying folks are beginning to predict that the film "Jackie", about Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, may be a likely Oscar winner. It may be that the lead actress (Portman) and others associated have done a fine job but let me say, as a life-long Bostonian, the last thing we needed was another film/book/article about the F-ing Kennedys.

My favorite Jackie story was reported by Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. He attended a dinner party at Jackie's Martha's Vineyard retreat and asked the butler for a martini and was served. Sometime later he asked for another and was refused. Irate, he persisted, but the butler also persisted. Thinking of complaining to his hostess he suddenly realized it probably was not the butler but that Jackie didn't want her guests getting plowed and at her expense. A great lady.

Speaking of good "Free" entertainment , you may wish to consider this medical drama NOT in English but in Korean with English subtitles. It centers around surgical doctors in a hospital . The acting is superb and the medical scenes in the operating rooms , although, probably copied from real operations, are convincing. Good life lessons are also taught . Watch one episode and ......I can almost guarantee you will be hooked.
The Drama is entitled "Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim!" Simply use this link and go to www.hotkoreandrama.com In the search box on UPPER RIGHT Type in "Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim Episode 1"
Simply click on the screen and after a brief ad ......... enjoy!

                    Wilt the Stilt's 100-point game March 2, 1962

Bruce's History Lessons: Wilt the Stilt's 100-point game
Bruce G. Kauffmann | Updated 12 hours ago

This week (March 2) in 1962, the man many believe is the greatest center ever to play professional basketball, Wilt "the Stilt" Chamberlain, scored 100 points in a game against the New York Knicks, a record that still stands today, even though today's game — unlike in 1962 — includes the three-point shot. Playing for the Philadelphia Warriors, Chamberlain made 36 of 63 field goal attempts and 28 of 32 free throws. Although his field-goal percentage in that game was below his season average, his free-throw percentage was way above his average, which contributed significantly to his record because the game gave new meaning to the term "foul plagued."

As background, the game, which was played in Hershey, Pennsylvania, before a crowd of just over 4,000 fans, was a meaningless, late-season affair that none of the players cared about, including Chamberlain who had partied late into the previous evening and showed up at the arena hungover.

Even so, recently he had been on a hot shooting streak and the Knicks' starting center was injured. This meant a back-up would be guarding him, which created such a mismatch that Chamberlain had scored 41 points by halftime.

This prompted the Knicks to triple- and quadruple-team him in the second half, but when the third quarter ended Chamberlain had 69 points — just nine shy of his all-time record — even though the Knicks had begun fouling him unmercifully. Uncharacteristically, Chamberlain was making his free throws, and it began to dawn on the Knicks players that he might score 100 on them, which would be a real humiliation.

So they changed tactics. Caring less about the game's outcome than Chamberlain's scoring, the Knicks began fouling every Warrior except Chamberlain, thereby forcing the other Warriors — all of whom had better free-throw averages than Chamberlain — to shoot free throws. But at least it kept the ball out of Chamberlain's hands.

Which prompted the Warriors to switch their tactics. Wanting Chamberlain to hit the century mark, they began indiscriminately fouling Knicks players. The goal was to stop the clock while the Knicks shot their free throws, and then quickly get the ball into Chamberlain's hands. In short, neither team was playing to win. One was playing solely to prevent Chamberlain's 100-point game and the other was playing solely to abet it.

With less than a minute left, Chamberlain had 98 points, prompting all five Knicks players to guard him, yet with 46 seconds left, he somehow freed himself from his five defenders, took a lob pass from a teammate and stuffed it into the basket. The game then ended and the sparse crowd stormed the court. Wilt "the Stilt" had made sports history.

Mimo, Remember when they used to have some NBA games in Cleveland before the Cavaliers? I saw Wilt and the Philadelphia 76ers play the Cincinnati Royals at the old Cleveland Arena
in the late 1960's. Can't remember much about it . I still have the program.

Hope Sandoval is very introverted and after 20 Years has finally released a new Album in 2016 ..........first one after 20 years .........If you like soft, dreamy haunting music you will love this Album entitled "Until The Hunter" Crank up your speakers and enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Em2dH8bLacM

                            More information on the Album:

Performer Notes: Hope Sandoval isn't the quickest worker, it took Mazzy Star almost 20 years to put out their fourth album, and this record comes seven years after the last one she made with Colm O C?os?ig under the Warm Inventions name. Despite the time it took to arrive, Until the Hunter is no great departure for the duo. It features many hushed, lit-by-candlelight ballads, loads of quiet beauty, and Sandoval's timelessly beautiful singing. Songs drift by on a wispy cloud of acoustic strumming, lazily twanged slide guitar, and twinkling keys, sometimes gently pushed forward by lightly brushed drums, sometimes left to float along on their own. New to the mix this time is vibraphone, as played by Sandoval, and a couple songs that stretch her horizons just a bit. The duet with Kurt Vile on "Let Me Get There" features the duo getting loose over a slinky Memphis soul groove: Sandoval sounding strangely at home in unfamiliar surroundings, Vile sounding like he wandered in off the street and barely learned the song. It's too bad he got the gig -- there are at least 50 male singers who could have nailed it in his place. The album-opening "Into the Trees" is a very, very slowly unspooling psych folk ballad that doesn't have much of a tune, but grabs the listener by the throat using its foggy chords, mysterious organ, and Sandoval's almost possessed vocals. It lasts for nine minutes, but could have gone on twice as long. The rest of the album is fully up to the standards Sandoval has established over time, with heart-tugging ballads like the very Mazzy Star-sounding "The Peasant" and the lovely "Day Disguise," languid folk songs ("The Hiking Song," "A Wonderful Seed"), and even a couple songs of a more sprightly-than-usual nature, the handclap-driven "I Took a Slip" and the almost jaunty "Isn't it True." As on previous Warm Inventions records, Sandoval and O C?os?ig prove masters of creating atmospheric settings for her luminous vocals. The addition of vibraphone and the slightly more expansive arrangements help make the album a subtle progression from the first two, so do the increased number of catchy songs. The duo have crafted another beautiful album and Sandoval sounds just as bewitching as she did the first time she stepped behind a microphone. Seven years is a long time to wait between albums, but if that's how long it takes to make the album as good as this is, then the wait was worth it. ~ Tim Sendra
