It was quite warm again today. Tomorrow starts the three day Groton House Farm horse trials. The weather is supposed to be much cooler.

Dang!!!...Guess this will be the 54th year in a row that I'm gonna miss the horse trials...Next year give me a few weeks notice.

Just got back from day #1. Was given a very nice volunteer's cap even though I did no work. Weather was fine.

Sort of. I did get an MA but I'm staying on.

Separately, I notice that the more recent posts in this thread concern last year's Groton House trials. This year's are only five weeks away now. There is a warm-up, a one-dayer on the 24th of this month. Note, you enter the farm for the one dayer about 600 yards up Highland Ave. from the main entrance. My sister is competing.

Its probably heresy here but I got a subscription to NO Load Fund*X at http://www.fundx.com/Login.aspx They attempt to time which mutual funds to best be in. They have the best ten-tear record of all the services that Hulbert rates. Haven't bought anything since I'm convinced we're going into the tank. Its nice that the only car I drive is my Dad's.
