As flaky as he seems, (and that's an understatement), he has a habit of showing up at the park on game days early in the morning and just hanging out, waiting for the game to start. No one knows for sure when he arrived because he's already there when the first real humans arrive.
Manny has earned his salary through the first six years of his huge contract, is a good family man, never gets himself arrested, and gets along well with the media even though he doesn't give interviews so if he wants to disappear into the left field wall to relieve himself, sell his neighbor's grill on e-bay or occasionally jog to first base when he's certain to be put out he's OK with me.

My subscription to IBD runs out 4/30. I'm letting it run out because I know longer use it daily and you can buy it in the Square when you need it. This week I think I got a call every day from some guy in California who leaves his name and number and promises a great rate. At some point he'll probably figure out I'm not there in the day time. Doubt he'll just give up.

Spent a nice morning picking up trash along the banks of the Charles with about 500 other people. In the afternoon went to the Harvard/Yale track meet. Don't know who won, its not a big deal. In the stadium at 4PM was Harvard/Holy Cross lacrosse. That IS a big deal, at least to some. They actually charge admission and serve lunch.
Darn...I'm busy that Wednesday....But Newburyport is not that far to see a really fierce poetry competition...Heck, I had a minor work disaster in San Diego today...260mis. r/t...I was there...solved the problem and was back home in less than 6 hours.

Track meet...Not A Big Deal...WHAT!?!?!...If it weren't for track somebody would've had to pay for my college education...Did I ever mention...When I was in HS I got offers from about 30+ schools?...Plus I got letters from others...One letter I got was from Dartmouth...They were interested...But not interested in offering any money...Imagine if you and I had both been Ivy Leaguers...Maybe I'd actually have made time for the Poetry Competition myself???

        Lacrosse...Is that a sport?...Quite a racket...Bribing people with food to get them to come...LOL

Does he leave it on a VM?...If so, let me know who it is so I can report him.

If you had paid attention last year when I had a way to get a really cheap deal on IBD you could have scored...I only read the Monday edition 99% of the time...But I pay less for the 5 day a week sub than you can get the 1 day a week sub for...If I hear of any deals I'll let you know...However, after expiration you can expect to get calls offering you a better deal for 40 or 80 weeks...I believe you'll be getting those calls for about 3 years before they give up...But Toby might know better than I.

Also...I'm fairly certain they get it at your Biz School Library...Plus, they should get the O'Neil Database which is the Institutional Version of DailyGraphs...It has about 2x as much stuff as DailyGraphs...Last time I checked they get it at UCLA(about 3 years ago)...Interesting data...Although it comes out weekly in 2 volumes at well over 100 grand, UCLA only gets it one week a month.

I meant we don't really care who wins. Everybody does her best of course but you're kind of competing against yourself. Just as well you passed on Dartmouth. Its nose-hair freezing cold there in the winter.

I remember looking that up. It must have been you who mentioned it before. I'm pretty sure I found it in the Business School Library catalog.

Might be...but I ended up at University of Nebraska...One time it was 31 below not considering the wind chill...although as I recall it was eerily still that day

I thought he was going behind the wall to light up?

Did you know he named his first two kids Manny Jr...at least they were both boys, that could have been embarrassing.

I don't like the hairdo. Especially with the added red dreadlocks. I wonder if he is Rastafarian. If he is then he is a practicing user of the yerba and is going behind the wall to take a piss and light up. He is a great athelete though and you can't take that away from him. .180 batting average so far. He must be stoned and seeing double.

Meanwhile, back at the park. With two out, one on, in the first they HIT A-rod so Giambi can knock in two runs. If they lose this one they deserve it.

                            Viola!

So in the third they hit Jeter with 1 on nobody out and Giambi collects his third RBI of the night. They did manage to strike out A-Rod.

Our corpulent leader does. Anway, the Sox took a 4-3 lead on four consecutive bases empty home runs (OK, three of them would have to be bases empty). Jeter has tied the score with a home run of his own in his next at bat after they hit him.
