Separately, I notice that the more recent posts in this thread concern last year's Groton House trials. This year's are only five weeks away now. There is a warm-up, a one-dayer on the 24th of this month. Note, you enter the farm for the one dayer about 600 yards up Highland Ave. from the main entrance. My sister is competing.

Its probably heresy here but I got a subscription to NO Load Fund*X at http://www.fundx.com/Login.aspx They attempt to time which mutual funds to best be in. They have the best ten-tear record of all the services that Hulbert rates. Haven't bought anything since I'm convinced we're going into the tank. Its nice that the only car I drive is my Dad's.

Nice to see you are still among the living...Actually, we thot you ran away w/ Peanuts to see the world

Looks like you are right. NoLoad lists CGMFX 12 month gain as 67%, a number so high I went over to Schwab to double check. They show 68%. I do need to come up with a thesis topic maybe by year end. I was leaning toward some trend following or persistence study, thus my interest in the NoLoadFund thing.

so you haven't read any of the commentary in the POTW from about 2 months ago or maybe starting even a little further back around the 1st of the new year? i was taking care of the POTW then and we had some fun at your expense while you were gone. You can pick it up with post # 674 on the POTW thread.

There is too much compression at the top..need a new mechanism to allow for more differentiation of the smartest of the smart.

                              Louetta,
I'm so old I remember when a 4.0 out of 4.0 was the highest average one could obtain. But that was also before a person could give 110% of anything.

i think you should rely more on your shoulders. i'm sure your academic potential is high but never underestimate the strength behind of a pair of smooth tanned shoulders in an off the shoulder or strapless light summer slightly transparent cotton dress.
