Mostly netwrapped round 4X5's.... I do make a few thousand square bales during second or (if we get the right weather) third cuttings.... I use about all the hay I can make for my own herd but I would like to sell more square bales if I can cut labor.... I'm looking for a used Bale-Bandit to eliminate the labor from making square bales (a new one costs about $60k).... http://www.balebandit.com/

I recently talked to a buddy who makes a lot of horse hay and he tells me that mixed grass hay is selling for $9 per square bale in Alabama. You can make good money at that price.... I've got orders to fill now @ $6....

Thanks.... Lil' Lye really doesn't know it's a nice place yet, he just knows it's home .... As far as window tinting goes in a farm tractor.... I don't think it's a great idea..... It's important to be able to be seen by auto drivers so you can get eye contact with them and hand signal to them when you are turning off a state road. I have had cars attempt to pass me as I slow down to make a left turn using my blinkers. A lot of farm tractors are hit by cars every year. Also I cut hay at night and I need to see what I'm doing, tinted window (while cool) are not very practical for farming imo....

Thanks.... It's a pond (don't listen to Rob...jejeje)... He's talking about me running an old tractor into the pond a few years ago, it's a long story.... thanks alot Rockin'Rob!

I do have a nice bold creek running about two hundred yards in front of my house and a couple more streams and stocked ponds on my place. I like water.

LOL!.... Yeah, when he jumped in my lap I mentioned the sweat ring on his hat to Mrs. Lye.... so he was lookin' at the sweat on his hat. That boy can run wide-ass open in 100 degree weather and never seems to notice it's hot. Maybe I shoudn't buy that bale-bandit afterall....jejeje!

              Enjoy the Labor Day weekend

Have a great weekend everyone! Be safe, watch out for bad drivers, and don't be one yourself.

I'm heading down to Alabama until Monday, my flight leaves in a couple of hours. I might be able to post my weekly screen results by Monday, but I'm not sure. From a quick look at last week's results, there are more down than up. The last 2 weeks, the majority of the stocks have done the opposite of the market, which is uncharacteristic of the normal performance

Indices are up on light volume. Resistance levels have been breached and may act as support, but due to lack of volume, this support may be weak. The price of oil is showing some weakness and oil and oil service stocks have displayed a decrease in buying activity from investors, reflected by lower share prices. M&A activity in the sector has been increasing lately, and may become a trend. The bull cycle in oil may begin a retreat or level off as M&A activity increases.

                              • With today's oil discovery announcement that would effectively double DVN's reserves, I wouldn't think there's much downside in that stock right now. You fortunately got your 2% on the short trade!
