It would be great if the ratings were not anonymous. I see that the membership is getting rambunctious, here. Funny, you would think that people could at least say that your thread sucks, rather than the star ranking games. What are we, apes? This reminds me of the CareerBuilder commercials when the apes, well, here, just watch it.

In all honesty Doug, it's gotten to the point where it just isn't worth spending my time to have to sift to find something worthwhile here or anywhere. This whole rating system thing is a sore spot with me and in my opinion is the purest type of bullshit available. It's boring and typical.

IMO...You put too much emphasis on this rating thing...Who Cares??? There are about 2,000 members here...How many have really given you some ideas that you could have or did use?...Bet it is less than 20....And some of those are probably long gone.

But it is like that everywhere...The people that stick around, take the time...They end up benefitting in the long run...Sometimes by making $$$...Sometimes by making friends...It is just the way it works...Doug(IIC)

A correlation may be present under some parameters, but I would bet that the results can be as easily manipulated as different types of TA can be used to skew indicators in stock charts.

Now, the "4 year cycle low"- I'd like to see what you are talking about, before I'd make a comment. Can you find a link so that we are on the same page? Thanks
Sorry, no link on the 4 yr. cycle, but you might be able to google it if you're really interested. Its my understanding that the El Nino is already in progress and its due to warming of the pacific, ie global warming. I read that in the Times but no, I don't have a link, sorry.

According to my analysis, BITS is still in breakout mode. Why would you say that a breakout has failed? Corrections are expected during any run-up in price, so just the fact that the price dropped this morning doesn't cut it for me. I would say that the breakout would fail if the price drops below $8.20 (major support and the start of the recent trend). Until that happens, BITS is still strong and I don't feel bad about my entry at $10. If this becomes a short term correction, I will be looking to add to my position at lower prices once I see the short term trend changing back to positive. Today shouldn't be described as a failure of a breakout.

I had forgotten that you had purchased BITS. I just remember saying that "I like BITS over $9.50 on volume." And our trading styles must differ a little, because what I'd do if I bought BITS over $9.50 on volume, would be to place a stop under it at $9.45 or so. Its down 10% today on very high volume, so I call that a breakout failure. Of course the proof is in the pudding; if BITS doesn't recover it was a failure. If it does, I was wrong. I hope I am wrong since I don't own BITS and you do

nope, I have it at Sept 27... but if I remember right, it made my momo screen as a potential breakout on Sept 21.

Measured that from IIC's breakout, then BITS yesterday completed a five wave up and today is the start of an ABC correction. And "C" wave is supposed to be lower than the bottom of "A."

Look at FRGB crumble. Now that's a failed breakout, wouldn't you say?

It doesn't "fail" until $31 is broken
